Lessons or Exercises

In your own opinion, what are the best lessons a person can do in regards to learning the hands on side of Wicca, Witchcraft or any other aspect. History wise there is so much to learn which is good and will naturally take time, but for a person who struggles to create a structure to learn, practice and improve their skills, what lessons or exercises would you recommend??
e.g. Basic casting a circle, meditation, tarot.

Hope all is well :D xx

lovely, yet how would you go about gaining a structure and creating an exercise based on each? Even though a person would have at some point done these, it would still be nice to have a basic outline of a structure. How would you suggest creating such? :)

I'll sit down and look at my stuff, see if I can't come up with things less path specific

Chylorna, you might be interested in picking up any one of the Witchcraft/Wicca 101 books out there ... Many of them come with well-structured, carefully thought-out lesson plans and hands-on exercises at the end of each chapter (for example, Scott Cunningham's Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner). Even if you wind up later disagreeing with the particulars of those books, having that kind of structure (even if you go at your own pace) will be helpful for learning the basics. The reason why I bring this up is because the hard work of devising a comprehensive Witchcraft 101 course has already been done many times by dozens of authors and other organizations; I would hate for the members here to have to keep on reinventing the wheel.

Honestly, I have it done for my group anyway, all it takes is removing or changing the path specific stuff. It's true that the basic outline is covered in many books though. It might help to have longer explanations than are practical to post here anyway

Chylorna,
Most libraries have books that can be borrowed from other librarys.
Granted some of "our" books remain for reference only, due to the
fact that a lot of them never came back  but you can get quite a few.
I use the library so I don't buy a book I don't like *whew!* I found out
the hard way !

I don't know if you like witch school at all, but on YouTube they do have video of all the lessons and exercises. I found this to be somewhat helpful especially if you are a visual learner

Hi people,
Its been a while! Thank you for all the suggestions. Luck for me I work for the Library service so I tend to borrow, take what info I need and send them back (Today included lol)
Inter-library loans are a fair expensive but we have a fair few in circulation and new ones pop up. Coz I'm staff I always make sure I give them back, as you say a lot go missing or get discarded.

Thanks again!
