The Cautioning Rede

I found this piece of writing off a website. Which I'm sure is another witches personal Rede. I was wandering what you guys think about it.

The Cautioning Rede
Listen all and blessed be,
A new rede has come to me.
The rule of three may bring deeds ’round,
But to that trinity we are not bound.
Listen well and use your thoughts,
You may have swallowed more than you bought.
The Wiccan Rede is poetry;
Not ancient law of symmetry.
It is a warning, yes; that’s true -
But a strict following we can not do.
For who decides what’s wrong or right?
Perception relies on individual sight.
So think before you quote the rede,
Are your morals meant for another’s deed?

I like the idea behind it, but the words don't quite do it for me. I like the last eight lines best. Thanks for sharing it, Capricious. :)

Sounds like someone disagrees with the Wiccan Rede to me. No offense do not care for this much, but thank you for sharing it, many here who do not follow the Rede will enjoy it I'm sure. :)

i have say i like the ideal behind it
it reminded you that the rede is indeed not ancient
and that perceptions play a key role on a witches actions
but i have to say that wrong or right the ideal that your not held to the law of three dose not play well with me
you are always acceptable to the law of three even if you don't follow it there for you are bound by it
and i think thats what makes karma ie the law of three a major thing
even in Christianity and various other religious they have a form of the law of three

I think it has an interesting twist to the wiccan rede. Some of the verses don't flow well to me. And personally I feel it's very thought provoking.

If anything, I think this could help be an aide to develop personal morals and think of how things make you feel.

On a side note, there are just some things that are plain out wrong. And I'm sure the people who do those kind of things probably tell themselves "Just because most people think its bad doesn't mean it is."
