sad...then good !

My Charlie was so emaciated, when I cut hair clumps off him he'd make more,
and then stopped cleaning himself...
So a friend of mine and I took him to go to sleep...last Friday(2/16)
Not looking for another cat yet, I went to pet finders just to look.
Hubby asked our cleaning Lady if she knew of some kittens...
She came back with a friend of her's raises Bengal kitties and she has
a 7mo old female left that is believed to be pure blood !
A Bengal kitten...I'm so excited, I've always wanted one since I first knew
they existed !!! I read a little bit this morning on them:
http://cattime.com/cat-breeds/bengal-cats
It looks like I can leash train this kid also !?!
I will add pics when she is home...
When I meet her I'll have a better idea for her name if she don't have one.
But I'm willing to take name ideas ! I heard Cleo in my head when in bathroom...
but I have to meet her before she gets a name...suggestions ?

P.S. Look at the size of those paws !!!

My sympathy to you at your loss of dear Charlie. Each pet we love is totally one of a kind.
And blessings on your future joys with a new friend-to-be-named. ... Bengal Betty? Such a sweet face...Sugar?

Charlie will be missed, of coarse...
My friend who knew the lady I got her from
told me it was meant to be.
I'll see if she reacts to those names...
She's so pretty and inquisitive !
I was told she's Bengal/Savannah mix

Oh i m so sorry for your loss.

A bengal how exciting!

After our old family cat died we moved into this pöace and shortly after got a 7m old main coon mix. Turnes out he reminds me of my old cat a lot what makes me even more happy.

My condolences on Charlie's passing. Have you ever seen Catmantoo on Facebook? He has a Bengal named Boomer. I understand they're very high energy cats.

Thank you...
Charlie was such a neat cat, he loved going out on the leash and roll in the dirt...
He was almost like a familiar...
I apologized to Charlie last night in case he thought I was quick to get another cat.
This new little girl has a name now...Rikki (Ricochet Rabbit !)
She so fast, full of energy, then she plops down wherever, then gets up and continues
on finding things to get into !!!
I just hope Kidden will accept her soon, Rikki keeps going back in the bedroom to
try and get Kidden to play...she's not giving up !

I tried to find the pic sent from email but maybe I overlooked it ???
I have had kitten before, granted it's been awhile, I don't think I've
ever had my hands and arms tore up so bad
Rikki is full of energy, very inquisitive and when she gets her mind
set on something its hard to get her to focus on something else !
Rikki and Kidden are playing quite well now; Kidden needed some
one to keep her moving.
So Rikki's favorite toy is feathers(of coarse), so I've had to put mine
that I've collected to make a few fans, away out of her reach. Odd
things at times seem to attract her attention, the strings for the blinds
that are pulled all the way up. I can just imagine if she finds one spot
where she can see them, being woke up in the middle of the night from
the blinds from at least one side falling down making that crashing noise
one dreads in the middle of the night.
We have dreamcatchers hanging over each of our heads, complete with
feathers on the bottoms; within Rikki's reach...
She has two feather toys on the floor, one long black one and one short
one that's almost bald one can't distinguish the color but it still flys well.
Rikki has started to bring the feather back for me to throw again ! I've
had her on the leash outside on the tiny patio, taken her out the other
door only for her to spot two dogs way on the other side of the complex-
that ended that one...grrr ! I'm going to keep at it tho, got to get her
leash trained. It's said they are easy to teach them to walk on a leash.
Charlie did, but I had him since he was 2 months old, Rikki was 7mo
when I got her. Lots of non-teaching time to fix...wish me luck !

I was going to say you'll need a leash. Savannahs need lots of exercise, and, they like to climb trees. they may spend some time doing this so your patience will be tested. Sorry you are getting scrapped up, but... you go cat mom!

Good thing I have a long leash, huh ? Long enough Charlie
would go part of the way up...
I figured I'd get all scratched up, I just didn't figure so much !
all tore up
all tore up
I do have a "tree" inside tho ! (and Kidden, S-I-L named her)
our "tree"
our "tree"
She sure is a new experience :surprisedwitch:
Tomorrow(4/17) she's getting fixed...damn it, I do prefer
my kids have one little to instill the motherly instincts.
But this kid climbs the walls, curtains, cupboards...getting
her fixed is logical for the sanity of this apt !

FireBird...
Not long after I brought Rikki home, Jake the outside cat,
saw her and got all kinds of pissed off ! He hardly ever
comes around now, we still put food out cause Jake
isn't the only one.
We had a homeless friend stay with us for a few months
and she convinced hubby Jake wouldn't be happy inside...
I wasn't sure either way. So out of the blue I asked my
cleaning lady/friend if she knew of any kittens...I figured
this time of year they'd only be a few weeks old and I would
be safe from getting a new kitten this close to saying good-bye
to Charlie...boy I was wrong ! I saw one pic of Rikki and fell
in love !

Our spirit kitties have a way of sending new love our way.

Well...
Rikki decided to let herself out the patio door without me knowing it
I went up and down the parking lot every night/afternoon calling and calling
for her...(we just got her fixed-was she mad?) for a couple weeks.
My other cat was totally upset and depressed. We were leaving town for
5 days in 6weeks for a Grandson's graduation. I couldn't leave Kidden all
by herself with no cat friend, I just couldn't do it.
So we went to the animal shelter to look at the kitties...as soon as I got
in the door I saw a multi-colored gray half grown cat. I pet her an she
wrapped her paws around my hand like she didn't want me to leave her.
I WAS HOOKED ! She was an owner surrender, this lovable thing ???
They put this cat "snuggles" in a small room so we can interact with her.
She played a little bit but was more interested in us !
Disney donated to the animals shelter in my area bringing adoption fee
from $50 to $25. Staff noticed my hubby's Army veteran hat...making
the cats adoption free ! So I thought I'd share a few pics of this beautiful
girl-changed her name to Sassy; it fits !
She's a lover, I get me a cup of coffee, go back in bedroom to wake up
and I no sooner sit down and I have a cat laying in my lap ! Been awhile
since I've had a "lap-cat" !

P.S. I just hope Rikki is happy wherever she would up...

As are our Spirit Guides to us so are we to all life forms subject to our dominion. Here we learn to exercise compassion and unconditional love and acquire the mettle of the Gods..
