The darkness always gets to me, but usually not until after Christmas. All the twinkling lights satisfy me during the holidays.

When I was younger, a therapist recommended that I lather myself up in sunblock and spend a little bit of time in a tanning bed to help combat seasonal blues. While I don't think it was the healthiest thing I could have done, I enjoyed it. The light and the warmth made me feel a little better... plus I could lock myself in that room and no one could bug me.

that's an excellent Idea Corvidus, thanks. I think I even have a strand around here :D
Napping and suntanning sound great  I really need to get outdoors a bit more, that would probably help alot.
Also the anxiety of "what the heck is going to happen this year"? kinda freaks me out. Then when it starts to unfray I want to shut down and disappear, it gets hard to pull oneself out of the doldrums. There was already had a major issue at T-day.
Sometimes I think I want to live on the top of the mountain all by myself, but I suppose that would get old after awhile.
I'm hiking tomorrow, chage of scenery for sure helps.

I've got seasonal blues today.
The snow has melted and everything is grey and ugly.
I work in a newspaper kiosk and it's quite dark here and I have to look at the grey road outside.

So I lit a candle. We got ton of them for free from one company :-)
It's both bringing me some light and I use it as a prayer for both our moms, @Bychan Wulf, and for my classmate, who has a funeral today. It's a multi purpose candle :-P

BTW can I call you Wulf? Or Bychan? I'm not sure what Bychan means, so I don't know if it is appropriate to call you that way.

Both are fine;you can choose the one that comes faster in mind. Bychan means "little" and it'seems how friends and family usually call me because of my stature ;-)

Definitely struggling with this right now! We got 10 inches of snow Sunday. Ugh. My husband and I decided that were moving someplace warmer in five years but that is still five more winters of all this snow.

Yeah, I see we reside in the same state. We got walloped! Keeping the birds fed actually cheers me up. I also put out dry cat food for any strays who might need it. The dish is emptied every day. Poor things. Foot prints tell me it's one cat and some sparrows.
