I highly recommend reading "The Mystical Qabalah" by Dion Fortune.

I do a lot with Kabbalah myself, and one of my favorites is "The Chicken Kabbalah" by Lon DuQuette. Dion Fortune is also wonderful, but she leaves out lots of the info on the paths, as it was oathbound stuff for her. If you go that route, keep "A Garden of Pomegranates" by Regardie around as a secondary source
