Blood Moon Eclipse
I had something in the works not knowing that there would be an eclipse?
How does an eclipse effect a spell. I started in the night and the candle burned all night outside until later the next day. It was one of those spell where the candle had to burn completely? I didn't see anything ibn Anna Riva Candle burning book about an Eclipse. Well thats the only book I have that addresses the moon.

A bird is seen flying past a full moon in the final stages of a lunar eclipse as it descends over Edmonton about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday. (Tim Smith/Special to the Sun)

The moon is seen during a lunar eclipse in Riyadh early March 2007. Total lunar eclipses occur when the Sun, the Earth and the Moon are all in alignment and the Moon travels into the broad cone of shadow cast by the Earth.

 Oooo. Pretty. Nice pictures!

Well, elsewhere I did post that I spent the evening just before the eclipse, cutting, stripping and polishing up a new juniper wand. It's great. I finished the wand minutes before the eclipse started, and I meditated on the wand through the climax of the eclipse, and charged it with the energy of it as well as my own. I figured this would give me a great opportunity to see what kind of energies that the eclipse would bestow on an object.

I began a working on the last Blood Moon, March 3rd 2007 [ the bottom photo on your post is a picture of that one] which culminated in this Blood Moon. Endings and beginnings. In that order. I 've seen lots of posting on several forums about this Moon but not much on the last one or on the connections between the two.

I was wondering did it energize the spell by starting it when there is an eclipse? Plus I know this might sound stupid but I'm going to ask anyway.
All I know about wands is what I've seen in movies and on TV. But what is the truth about wands? And are they always made with wood? Could I just go outside and pick up a stick and make it into a wand?

Eclipses are good for 'bringing forth from the shadows, showing that which is hidden within' When it is a 'Blood moon' that means inner desires and hidden strengths. It is a time to put right the past and take positive action to bring about change in the present/future. Endings and beginnings, the eclipses of the Moon often seem paired, with an interval between, usually six months or so.[not always] I acted on that this year. For me it is a time to embrace changes.

those wands all looked a little "artificial" for my personal tastes
