Readings On & Off Lately...Any Advice?

I've been reading tarot for a few years now and lately for some reason it's been off and on with me. Sometimes it's right sometimes it's wrong and there are times where I feel like I can't read at all. Any others have had the same problem I've been having? A lot has been going on my personal life too like I trying to go back to school, find a new good paying job that would work around my school schedule and having a confusing back and forth love life. Could that play to a factor that my readings have been off?

Maybe you just answered your own question reiraangel ;)

I always find it hard to read tarot when you mind is taken by so many other personal things. One needs a clear mind to read behind the pictures.

So yes! Its happened to me too.

I think it's normal that your personal life is affecting your readings. For a reading to be clear and right, you need to have clear mind, which I think is impossible when you have too much going on in your life.
Don't push yourself, readings will become more accurate, trust your instinct to not do reading when you feel you can't.

I've always had trouble with readings if my mind is somewhere else. Whether it's the cards or you that draws in the knowledge, you have to be open to it. And being distracted will cause static in the signal... So to speak.

Why not just learn the cards?

I'm brand new at doing tarot myself, but I know a lot of other people have their own personal association with their deck/specific cards, rather than just what the accompanying book tells you. As you gain experience and doing readings both for yourself and others, sometimes people gain more insight than just what the card shows.

The "how to" sticky at the top of this forum encourages new readers to say something aloud if it comes into their mind during a reading, and not to brush it aside or ignore it. Some may call it intuition, or think that whatever power they believe in elaborating on a particular card/situation, or whatever other belief they have is coming through to offer more insight than just what that particular card means or pertains to.

I hope that made sense...like I said, I'm new to tarot, but that is just based on what I've read and observed so far.
