Everything Under the Moon

I did a past life reading for myself (a spread I did myself) and focused on my past life in Ancient Egypt. I made a discovery and found that I had relations with someone. I wanted to learn more so I did another to clarify, asking Ra to help me. I could make out a little of some of the cards but there were a few that I was...blocked on. As I was doing the reading, I was encountering a huge rush of emotions. Just looking at the cards before I even looked up the meanings (I still don't have this memorized) I felt like I was about to cry. Sadness, desperation, longing, elation but I also felt a lot of fear. Overall I could tell you that the relationship I had in a past life was not a healthy one.

But here's the part that caught my attention. I did a card specifically for how we met. I got the inverted 8 of Wands. My heart dropped at seeing it even though I wasn't really certain what it meant. When I tried to touch more into the card, go with the feelings and ascertain what it was saying, I felt a block before I could get there. And I heard "You are not yet ready." I'm not sure what could have happened as the other aspects of this life were...well not pleasant. But if he feels I'm not ready for it then I'll trust him.

Has anyone ever had something happen like this? Is this normal?
