So I'm fairly new with tarot, and I just got 2 books; seventy-eight degrees of wisdom and Tarot in 78 Days: A Personal Journey through the Cards... I would love some input wither or not these where good choices. Thanks :)

I haven't read them either .... But perhaps you could post your own review ?

There are also lots of great tarot sites on the web if you're just looking for card interpretations

My favourite tarot website is 'truly teach me tarot'.

The best way to learn is to do many readings !

The seventy eight degrees if wisdom is a great book, but very full on. There's a lot of detail and when you aren't familiar with the cards, it can be a bit much to take in. One book that I found really useful was 6 short stories to learn tarot (I think that's what it was called) it's really good for learning the basics, and then you might find it easier to understand the Rachel Pollack book a bit better! Generally speaking though, any of Rachel Pollacks work is great, she knows what she's talking about!

I also have not read those books. I think Tarot Plain and Simple by Anthony Louis is a good book especially if you have the Robin Wood deck. I also think reading the books that correspond with your deck is great. Also it is good to make a tarot journal with your deck, writing down your personal associations with the cards. In addition, I would advise learning all upright meanings before learning reversals. Reversals can be tricky and I've noticed that in many books the reversal meanings differ. Usually when I do readings I do not even use reversals because the cards surrounding a card will tell me the information I need.

I have not ready any of these books but another experienced tarot read I now swears by 78 degrees of wisdom.
