How do you ask questions that the answers are Yes or No, in tarot?

You can if you know your cards and are prepared to look into the meaning of the card pulled. Generally asking open questions is more likely to give you a more sensible answer.

For a simple Yes - No question have you thought of trying an asking crystal? or a pendant?

You can also use your reverses as no. If the card is right side up- YES inverted- NO.

JBRaven thanks, Cora I have a crystal but it goes with my feelings, for example if I'm afraid that I'm going to be expelled from my school, and ask the pendant "I'm going to be expelled?" the pendant will go to yes, because thats what I will be afraid of, so the pendant actually is not working so much...thanks for the suggestion though!

With what JBRaven suggested, the common yes/no spread is to use three cards.

3 right side up: most likely yes, with the points as influencing factors why.
2 right side up: probably yes, the one reversed being an obstacle to a yes
1 right side up: probably no, two reversed being things in the way of yes
3 reversed: most likely no and some of the reasons.

I know this spread but don't use it myself, because I'm not too fond of reading reverse. It's not that I can't, I just find the shuffling process for reverse annoying lol. I personally try to, as best I can, reword a yes or no question into something else that still gives me the answer I need.

How do you properly shuffle a tarot deck?

It ultimately depends on how you want to read the cards. Like, if you want to include reverse readings, you would probably bridge shuffle. But there isn't a specific way to shuffle your deck. I've seen many people shuffle their decks all different ways. Just do it as you would any deck of cards so long as you're not bending them.

I found a Youtube video that instructs on how to do this. Basically it's a five card spread and if there are more even numbers, it's a yes. If there are more odd, it's a no. I'm not sure if this is a preferred method, but it's one to try out if you're interested. I can't find the video now, but there are plenty of how-to's on Youtube that can't hurt to try.
