I had a dream, that...

About 3 years ago, I had a dream, that I was in a town--a very sandy town. For a short while I was simply walking through the crowd. I don't remember what type of attire I was wearing, other than that it was a robe or cloak, as were everyone else. As I proceed to walk on, I enter the town square. Once inside the square everyone began to stop, including myself. I begin to lift my left arm as a black bird swoops down from behind me and perches on the arm. All the sudden everyone is looking at me with shock. Whether they were disgusted, shocked, in awe, etc. I don't know, but I did recognize a few faces (mostly close friends and people I attended church with at the time).

I don't know exactly what species the bird was at the time. At the time I believed it was a dove (hence my screen-name), but it stands an equal chance of being a crow or raven. I could be "that guy" and say "As witches, can you link your mind with mine and bring me back to that dream, even though you're hundreds (or thousands) of miles away?" Though, I'm not that guy, so lucky you guys. Instead, I'd just like to hear your opinions on the dream. Whether it be a dove or a raven (maybe the morrigan?) whatever the meaning is, anything. I just like to hear input.

Crows and ravens are very powerful birds in witchcraft, because they are traditionally believed to be able to move between this world and the "other world"- the world of the dead. I'm definitely fishing here: do you feel like you don't fit in with people around you (namely close friends and church friends) due to a possible "otherworldly" quality? Perhaps you are more of the "other" world than them, and this sets you apart? Are you remembering, or fearing, or proud of the discovery of this separation?

Food for thought ;)

Actually I don't go to church anymore and to a degree, yes. I (like my father) naturally developed the ability to see auras. Ive also always have had an interest in the spiritual realm. I personally have felt that it could have meant that I would someday join the craft, though as a devout christian at the time, I would have never believed it. Its very rare that I get a dream that j can remember.

But yes, I do feel as if there is less of a rift between me and the spiritual world than there is for most...atleast that's how it is when I have peace and quiet to meditate and heighten my senses...

Birds have been seen as the messengers of the gods in several religions so perhaps that means something, perhaps you feel as if you were put here with a purpose or that you were chosen or meant to do something incredible with your life. Perhaps you need to stand out of a crowd, perhaps you will be a teacher and others will learn from your dispositio n.

Just some general notions.
Blessings

My mom said that she felt I was important when I was still in the womb, but I think that's just moms. Could it be a deity staking their claim on me?
