Does anyone know a spell to protect my book of shadows?
And should i write it in runes?
Maybe inside the cover?

I want to protect it from people without pure intentions.

Would really appriciate if anyone could help me out :)

Thanks

I don't have a vast amount of experience in protection spells on objects, but here's one I found on the web, apparently it's a Scott Cunningham spell but I have no idea whether it actually is or not.

To Protect An Object
(Scott Cunningham):

With the first and middle fingers, trace a pentagram over the object to beprotected. Visualize electric blue or purple flame streaming from your fingers to form the pentagram.
Say this as you trace:

"With this pentagram I lay Protection here both night and day.
And the one who should not touch
Let his fingers burn and twitch
I now invoke the law of three: This is my will,
so mote it be!"

I've been looking for one protection spell I have used, will post it if I find it.

Well...the choice is up to you whether you feel that writing it in runes is suitable.

One of my favourite New Age shops in my local town has plenty of signs saying "This is a sacred space. If you steal from this sacred space, it will come back on you times three" Words to that effect anyway.

You could put a small but simple statement like that on front and then charge a talisman with your will. Then maybe attach the talisman to it?

Just a few ideas. I always think statements like that make people think. You never know what could happen if you dont believe in magick.

Take care, much love x

If you plan on writing a protective spell or warning in your BOS, I would say to make sure you do it in a color that is different from the others in your book... If you only write in black, like I do, then it'll be an easy task. I write my warnings in red or orange, not because of any magical color attributes, but because it's a color that draws the eye and makes an immediate impression of warning, and since it's different from everything else, it stands out in memory.

Even without any real magical backing, it'll zing about in their subconscious and could bring about results based on nothing but what -they- believe.

I've found that letting people draw their own conclusions and mete out their own punishments tends to be far more effective than doing anything overt. And why do it yourself when their own minds will make monsters up for you?

My student adjusted teh cunning ham method, to that it sounds smoother,

"On this object I do lay,
Protection here both night and day
and for those who are not this witch
let their fingers burn and twitch
I now invoke the law of three
this be my will so mote it be!
"
