You don't need anything special but you do need a clear intention for resolution of the issue. Cast a simple circle & do a simple candle spell within the circle. Keep it simple so you can focus & clarify your intention.
To Cast a Simple Circle
Center yourself. Raise energy. (instructions are in "getting started")
Walk the circumference moving clockwise -> and:
1. Consecrate by sprinkling the Earth & Water symbols of salt-water as you make the 1st circuit & then wafting the Air & Fire symbols as smoldering incense smoke around the rim to make the 2nd circuit. This introduces all 4 physical elements without summoning them. Keep repeating as you walk: "Round, round 'n round about. All good in & all bad out."
2. Make the 3rd circuit to project the circle. Point 2-fingers (index + middle) to direct your power & charge the border saying: "As I walk the circle is cast, guarding all and holding fast." Imagine a beam of energy flowing from your fingers to form the circle. (if you have ritual tools, use 'em.)
3. State your purpose, why you are there: to aid (names) to resolve (issues) for the good of both parties &'harming none.
That is all there is to the casting of a
simple circle that does not include calling quarters or deity, or sharing an offering feast afterward, but you can add those if you want. See

Then do the candle spell noted below.
Use a white all-purpose candle. Select an oil with properties in harmony with your specific intent or generalize with lavender oil for harmony or olive oil for victory.
To prep the candle: Rub 3 dabs of oil in your hands, then roll the candle between oiled hands as you state the intent 3 times. Use positive, present-tense words that claim the goal so you own it. Ex: (names) now favorably resolve (issue) for their mutual good &'harming none. Then stand the candle in it's holder (or in its own wax on a saucer) so you can cup both hands around it to charge it. Charging is when you put the zap in & set your intent. Deep breathe. Know your goal in your gut; exhale & push the goal into the candle thru your breath, hands and almighty fierce Witchy gaze. The candle is ready.
The spell: Now light the wick; sit quietly & gaze into the flame. Observe the flame's many layers of color. Breathe and watch the flame's motion for a few minutes until you are only aware of the flame, then give THANKS to the Powers because the deed is already done; the spell is already fulfilled upon the ethers and KNOW this with a certainty. Prepping set the intent so you don't have to visualize. It's done.
Ground your self. Ground the circle's residual energy or sweep it away. Set the candle in a safe location & do something else to think of other things. Let the candle burn all the way down &
dispose of candle stubs (if any) in the trash.
