Okay, I know we're already done but I just thought if we could perhaps add a little incantation/phrase for the blue moon, hmmm?

Some thing like...
I call upon the moon tonight,
As I bathe in pale blue light.
Oh great blue moon, I call upon you
Dull my knives
Sharpen my spoon.
Cleanse my mind of clouding thoughts,
Oh blue moon high in the sky,
My spell cast,
Under you, not the sun.
As I say,
So be it done.

I took the first part and edited it a bit!

Spell for August: Intuition Spell

Date to be Completed: August 21, 2015

The hosts of this activity decided to move the Discernment spell-crafting on September since Libra rules discernment aspect and judgement and replace it instead with intuition spell as Virgo governs this aspect and other related stuffs such as critical thinking, contemplation, inner mind, etc.

We think these two spells: intuition and discernment should go hand in hand. And we think it's vital to address and enhance one's (mental) intuition first to balance (emotional) feelings and (physical) actions one needs in discerning.

In this we could avoid making wrong perceptions and decisions because of overanalyzing and too much worrying (lack of intuition) but on the other hand, could make good discernment because of our enhanced intuition based on accurate information.

We've seen many people prejudge based on their preconceived evaluations but unless they have the discipline to recognize their evaluation for what it is, they may resort to their prejudices, assumptions and paranoid thoughts that will just give them feeling of discernment without intuition.

Alright so that being said, let's get brainstorming again!

Correspondences for Intuition Spell:

I'll add two correspondences here that I think would be good to our Month's spell and we could take inspiration from and work with! Don't be shy to add your own reasoning behind them!
  • Amethyst - Gemlore says that this stone enhance all sorts of psyhic manifestations and abilities. It also vibrates the frequency of third eye chakra which is our pineal gland and the seat of our intuition.
  • Blue and Indigo - These colors can be used for many things but when it comes to intuition it can help to strengthen insight, clarity, imagination, creative thinking and understanding.

Herbs to enhance intuition: anise, primrose, arnica flowers, camphor, eyebright, bay leaf. There are many more, but these are the ones I can think of now :)

There are also:
Balsam Fir (Silver Fir) (aka The Christmas Tree), Pine, Sage, Acacia, Sunflower, Rue (Herb of Grace), Hazel, Cypress, Clover, Almond, Peach, Honey

I would also like to note that there is a ancient belief that eating sage will increase wisdom and insight so maybe making something edible might work well for this spell or part of it.
I like the idea of this since we haven't done any food magic and I like the visualization of insight/wisdom coming from within yourself.
Maybe make this a full meal you eat so like almond sage pesto with your meat at dinner and for desert something with peaches and honey and clover not that that is what we end up with but just as an example. And we could use the crystals and others to infuse our water with our dinner with their properties and drink that instead of say what we normally drink.

This makes me hungry! Hmmm... BUT I LOVE IT TOO! We need a kitchen witch!

"Calling all kitchen witches out there!" :flyingwitch:

Do you guys suppose inviting the Greek Goddess Psyche in the meal would be such a great experience too?

I also like the idea of gem elixirs that work at enhancing our insight or intuition or that gives the spell an extra punch.

Well for food magic, could you grind up a hazelnut into a fine powder and mix it with some minced sage? To sprinkle into the food?

And you could just tie a blue/indigo string around the amethyst? Or. If you put the hazelnut and sage powder into a salt shaker or some sort of container, you could put the amethyst in with the powder and wrap the string around the container?
