About a month ago my girlfriend and I broke up. She is a witch and one item that I had there was my athame. I have been wanting it back or payment for it (it was not a cheap one). She was communicating with me the entire time and we where negotiating the return of it. Till last week she just stopped talking to me completely and I was suppose to get it back some time last week. I would like to get it back as soon as I can, but it is tainted now we both have fought over it and she dose not want it and dose not want me to have it. I don't want to have it but I need the money from it so that I can get a new athame that is why I will accept payment for it otherwise I will sell it.

I am looking for a spell to be able to get my athame back or payment for it and that is it.

I know not every ex is reasonable, but did you try walk over to her, ring the door and just say you want it back? Don't leave her front door until you get it back? Take some annoying music with you, this will fast things up

Also you can cleanse your athame afterwards to get rid of this negative feelings that were prodce here. Cause when you sell it, this could cling to the money and transfer to the new athame.

I did try that but she called the cops on me. The cop gave me some advice I flowed what he said and she got mad that I did what the cop told me to do. I am a bout to talk to my lawyer ans she's if my lawyer can do anything about it but I want to try something more settle first like a spell if anyone knows one.

You could try using a spell for the athame itself, maybe one for something stolen - i think I remember seeing one on EUTM somewhere or perhaps one for putting wrongs right.
Traumwandlerin is right - persistance is key. Don't give up ... Your lawyer should be able to help though especially considering it was an expensive one
You could try talking to her again and pointing out that the fact that it is yours will affect anything she uses it for
