My mom would always cut and put aloe plant juice on my and my family burns. The plant works very well. Also you can buy aloe burn lotion. That what i do for my family and my burns. I have bought aloe plants and keep them on hand just in case.

How are you burning yourself? Perhaps prevention is better than cure?

I agree with Cora

for burns from the oven or stove type of things Aloe is good

for sunburns you can use aloe, witchhazel, apple cider vinegar and they will take the sting out of a sunburn

Orange Flower Body Lotion for sunburn

An easy recipe that is especially good for soothing sun burnt skin.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons glycerine
1/3 cup orange flower water

Directions:
Whisk orange flower water and glycerine together in a small bowl, pour into
a small bottle, seal. Shake well before using.

also one for spray

After-Sun Healing Spray
½ cup distilled water
¼ cup aloe vera gel
8 drops of Lavender essential oil
2 drops of Roman Chamomile essential oil
2 drops Geranium essential oil

Blend together and pour into a 12-16 ounce fine mist
spray bottle. Spray skin if you have been over exposed to
the sun. This is very healing and soothing to sunburned
skin. Do not get any in eyes.

And this one

ALOE SPRAY FOR BURNS

One of the best ways to apply a burn remedy is to spray it on. (The
spray can also be gently dabbed on very minor burns.) In this way,
you don't have to touch sensitive, burned skin. Also, a spray feels
cool on a burn.

4 oz. aloe juice
1/2 tsp viamin E oil (or 2, 400-I.U.capsules)
1/8 tsp lavender essential oil
Combine ingredients and pour into a spritzer bottle (which can be
found at most drugstores). Shake well. Spray on burn as needed. The
vitamin E will promote healing. Make sure that you use aloe vera
juice, not gel, which will clog the sprayer.

This spray is good for sunburn or almost any type of minor burn

When harvest time is in full swing and I'm canning for 3 days straight I burn myself all the time. Of course cool compresses is the best thing for burns, stop the burning. It would probably be best not to put oil on a burn until you're sure the burn has stopped burning. That can sometimes take hours. As long as the skin is not broken and the burning has stopped, any kind of good quality vegetable oil works to stop scarring, I like olive oil myself. A cold infusion of olive oil and cloves will help deaden the pain, and yarrow or calendula are good antimicrobials. Once the skin is broken and cell damage is done it is best to see a doctor but if you can't afford it or refuse to see a doctor, sugar packs are the best way to prevent infections. Even many hospitals and vets are using sugar packs to prevent infections now because bacteria cannot adjust to sugar as they can to many chemical antibiotic creams. A sugar pack is nothing more than packing the wound with white sugar (honey can work too) and binding the burn. This needs to be changed often (every three to four hours). But for most everyday burns, just putting a cold compress on them to stop the burning and then leaving them to the air is best. A good quality oil just helps keep the skin soft to prevent scarring.

Well, firstly, make sure you put it under cool water (not COLD, and don't use ice). You need to stop the burning. Skin will "cook" for a bit after the initial burn. Keep it under cool water or under a cool compress for awhile.

Aloe Vera (usually fresh from the plant is best, in my opinion) and Vitamin E oil have worked great for me in the past with burns (both sunburns and fire/heat burns).

I've noticed the treatment for bee stings works for mosquito bites and burns. All it takes is baking soda and water. Make it into a paste and rub it on your burn.

I learned that soy sauce takes away the pain, and toothpaste speeds healing... dont use a cinnamon toothpaste though, tried that once and it BURNED! D=
Its not really magic, but its a nice home remedy I use. (Im super clumsy so I get burned alot too =<)
Also, aloe and vitamin E are good for repairing skin.

I've heard if you burn your hands fingers to stick them in flour, regular cooking flour.

I use witch hazel on burns. Put 1/4 cup witch hazel in 1 cup olive oil and bake at 250 for six hours. Put in glass dropper jars. Good for sunburn, burn, rashes. Reduces swelling and itching.
