Hi everyone, this is not really a question about a crystal or gem but still thought this was the best place to ask this.

I was given a stone with a natural hole in it, from the the streaming water, the hole is small but it's clear and also clear that it's natural ^_^ I was in Kyrgyzstan for a project with this Lesbian right organization, anyways that is besides the point. We were at Issyl Kul and one of the participants gave it to me as a gift he found it there at the lake.

He said it is a stone from the "chicken god" and attracts success, at least that is a local believe apparently. But what other meanings does it have, I read some stuff about elfstones etc. but this is really not something I know a lot about...

What you have there is a Holy Stone and they are very strong. I have a couple of them myself:

Image

Here's some more information on them:

STONE: Holey Stones, Holed Stones, Holy Stones, Odin Stones
Group: N/A
Chemistry: N/A
Hardness: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Number: N/A
Zodiac: N/A
Planet: N/A
Element: Water.
Dieties: Odin, The Great Mother.
Associated Metal: N/A
Powers: Protection, Anti-Nightmare, Health, Psychism, Eyesight.

History: In The Eddas, Odin transmuted himself into a worm and slipped through a hole in a rock to steal 'the mead of poetry'. Thus the name, 'Odin Stones"

Primary Transmission: Receptive

ASPECTS: Holey stones can be of any type as long as they have a naturally made hole going clear through them. The holes are usually made by water, wind erosion, creatures, or by other act such as accidental puncture.

BENEFITS, MENTAL:

Anti-Nightmare.
Enhances psychism.

BENEFITS, HEALTH:

Absorbs disease.
Assists healing.
Maintains health.
Said to improve eyesight.
Said to increase lifespan/longevity.

RITUAL USE EXAMPLES:

Hang one on your bedpost to prevent nightmares. You can tie a red ribbon around them and hang them over the bedpost as well.

For protection: Wear around neck, place in house, or hang from the front door. You can guard a pet by hanging a Holey Stone near where the pet sleeps.

To assist the body's healing process during illness, charge a Holey Stone to absorb the disease. To cleanse the stone after you're done, use the following method:

A) Place stone in tub of warm, salted water and soak for several minutes.
B) Repeat once a day for 7 days.
C) Cleanse the stone after this. If the stone is not 'clear' of the disease, repeat.

Rub a sick child with these stones to help remove disease.

Rub the stone on an adult to help maintain their health.

Look through a stone anywhere while in broad daylight. It is said to improve eyesight.

Look through a stone at night during phases of the moon while in a wild and lonely place. You may see visions, ghosts, or nonphysical entities!

I use mine for protection purposes at home and they work wonderfully against psychic/spirit/Astral intrusions! Hope this was of some help! :D

You're welcome! :D Thankfully, size doesn't really matter with Holey Stones since the real power is in the focusing and channeling of energies through the hole. Good luck with yours and be grateful for this wonderful gift from your friend. True Holey Stones are pretty rare.

Blessed be!

One Walker.

I thank you too.

I've had one Native American tell me they are called "Dream stones" and are used to control dreams, much like a dream catcher. :D

I just learned about this stones when I read my book. Right after knowing that it has great energy. I drop by the seashore beside the small boats on my way back home and got only 15mins to pick up this holy stones. I gave some to my cousins and kept some. I made the other one into a necklace and its really unique and how great it is wearing a holy stone that possess wonderful energy. Here are some photos I am sharing. not really a perfect stones because I had a very short time and the small boat would leave the place. But there were a lot in that place. :)
