Magifying a mundane task?

I've been wanting to begin eating better and working out regularly, but keep running into a road block. A huge part of the difficulty has been that I used to be really good at both things, so starting over from scratch (so I don't aggravate previous injuries) with everything on "easy mode" *feels* pointless at the time. Talking with a friend about this, he brought up the analogy of the bucket: each day you can only add one drop of water to the bucket. At first it doesn't look like anything is happening, but as you go, suddenly one day you realize it's half full. While this is something I already *knew* (which is honestly part of why it's so frustrating that I haven't been able to start)... But the analogy stood out to me.

While he was explaining the idea, an image popped in my head of filling a jar with origami lucky/wishing stars, once for each healthy thing I do for myself, or one each day. Perhaps writing about an accomplishment, or how I feel about the day's events on the paper before I fold it.

I'm wondering- are there elements of spell craft I can add in here? Something to give motivation/dedication/determination/etc a bit more umph? I recently did a money bowl and I really like the idea of "interactive" spells like that, but I don't want to fill my star bowl with anything other than stars.

Thanks for any suggestions [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Have you tried simple Strength or Willpower spells?

Example: https://www.llewellyn.com/spell.php?spell_id=2714

I find that repeating the verbal part of a spell (like a mantra) while actually doing a task (such as working out) increases my resolve as well.

There is also an app simply called “Wicca” for iOS devices you can get with a bunch of ready made spells, if you don’t want to write your own.

Elements of spell craft as in The Elements? You could use elemental colors for the stars, recognizing the element that relates to the motivation of individual acts.

Analytical resolve. Suchly:

IF it is healthy, THEN it is honest, SO it is fun.

Silas, I like your suggestion! I don't like using "premade" spells, but finding elements (aspects) of other spells and cobbling them together to something that feels right. Strength and Willpower is exactly what I need!

SpiritTlaker, oo I like that. I was trying to think of ways to "color code" without over-complicating it. This might be simple enough but also get me to start thinking in terms of the elements a bit more :)

Barker, I think I'll be able to get to that point after I've overcome the inertia of status quo ;)
