Could she be my familiar?

Hi guys.
So, I recently took in this stray cat. I believe she was a housecat at one point. Mostly, because she allowed me to pick her up and hold her, and seems comfortable using a litterbox.

I've noticed a few unusual things about this cat.

One, I found her on Samhain. In almost the exact same spot where I did my self-dedication ritual.

Two, she keeps sitting on my dresser. Specifically, she seems to gravitate to the drawer where I hide my altar. I pick her up and set her back down, but twenty minutes later she's sitting in the same spot like she owns it.

Three, I sat down to meditate for the night, and she leaps into my lap and doesn't budge an inch. She was on the other side of the apartment five minutes earlier.

Problem is, I live in an apartment that doesn't allow cats. What do I do?

It makes me so frustrated when I hear about places where they don't allow pets. Maybe you can cast a spell for a happy outcome for your situation? Or maybe you'll be drawn to a particular deity who might assist you?

It sure sounds like this cat could be your familiar, it doesn't seem coincidence that she gravitated towards your altar area and your meditation.

Sounds like she is,
But maybe she is lost, have you looked thru lost and found ads or put up ones of your own? Take a trip to the local animal shelter and see if there is any fliers in their lost animals book. Lastly feel around her shoulders and see if she has a computer chip, if she is chiped someone for sure is missing her, any vet or animal control person can scan it.
Next step..move!
Good luck!

I've been looking around the shelters. I talked with the receptionist and showed her the picture that I took of the cat. I doesn't match anything in the archive book.
Also had her checked for a chip. That drew no clues either.
I really love this kitty. But, on the other hand, if someone is scrambling to find their kitten, I'd feel terrible if she belonged to someone else and had to choose between her owner or her witch. :( :( :(

One other thing, have you put out "found" posters around the neighborhood?

You may be able to keep her, claim she is a service animal, get her certified, then maybe they can't say anything about the pet?

It really sounds like she found her new owner :fairy:

I have. Craigslist ads, flyers, knocking on doors (with the cat in my arms. Got the scratches to prove it, darn dogs.) Either she'd been missing for a while, or the owners don't know yet/don't care, or something. :(

I'm not sure about getting her certified as a service animal. I don't have any major disability, it would feel dishonest... I'll look at it though. Thanks.

According to US LAW ILL get you the info exactly, Anxiety is enough reason to be admitted into all public places. My dog is a service animal because me and my girlfriend have been battling cancer for 2-3 years. I'll try and take a picture of some of the documents I have. But the answer is NO they cannot themrow you out hotels, the mall, etc... If I forget Pm me and I'll send you more info.
