Yes, that was my original point. :)

But Christianity is supposed to be good, whereas we are told we are bad. lol.

I know it's rough. I'm still in the "broom closet" as well. I grew up in a very strict Christian house hold. I'm just gonna be honest. You're not gonna change their mind they've been taught we are evil for a very very long time. Mind you there are still some wonderful people that follow the Christian faith, and have embraced tolerance. From my experience those are few and far in between.

My best advice would be to like others have said continue to practice quietly. Whatever you do, do not start arguing over how Christianity is just as bad or bring up the flaws in that religion. It will get you no where fast. Just show them the love and tolerance that is right even if they don't show it to us. It's just the right thing to do.

The thing is, I dont mention anything about their religon, but they make up crap about wicca and make fun of it, why cant I get the same respect? I say nothing about their religon, and yes I know to practice quietly but its very rare for me to do so as this house is a very active busy house, now days its rare im home alone unfortnately :(

Hi! Sorry for the late post.

I'm definitely in agreement with the majority here and suggest that you practice quietly and safely, without bringing up religious debates with your parents.

While practicing silently can be saddening, it gives you a chance to be creative and incorporate your spell work and magick into everyday life and into the most mundane activities. Practice with necessity in mind, not of luxury. To a witch, the most simplest of household objects can become tools for our craft. A letter opener can become our athame, a simple glass cup.. our chalice.

As suggested by the others, It would likely be best for you to -not- to set up an alter under the current household. It would easily cause a problem if it was ever discovered. Definitely focus on your studies and reading, and this forum offers a lot of simple rituals and spells that can be done without the need of multiple tools, herbs, crystals etcetera.

One in mind is this here shower cleansing spell: http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... ml#p201847 ... Put together by Loona wynd. Very effective, relaxing, and spiritually rejuvenating..... and you can mask the chant involved by just singing or whispering it.

If your parents haven't taken well to your faith, I doubt informing them of your sexuality will help the situation at the moment. It may be best for you to hold that information to yourself until you're older. They may try to just convince you that you're just going through a 'phase' due to your age.

Regardless, I wish you luck in your journey, and I hope things become easier for you as time progresses.

Brightest Blessings,
~Brightheart~
