I've heard of them but I don't see how they are more powerful than a candle you bless yourself. Are they dipped in real gold? or gold coloured? Personally I'd look out for male/female candles and use those instead.

Thank you Cora for your reply!!

As far as your question, I'm an uncertain if it is real gold or just gold colored. I heard these candles could cost like up to 100? has anyone heard of this type of cost for a candle?

I've never heard a candle costing that much, my 3ft 3 wick awesome candle was £25. I guess these gold ones will gain power by creating the illusion that it is more powerful, therefore people will believe it will work and therefore the spell will be stronger. I'm not even sure why you'd have gold coloured ones. Gold would generally be used for sun spells, or for money, and it symbolises Men. For soul mate joining I'd go for soft pink for love. Where are you thinking of getting them from?

I'd do what Cora suggested. Buy male/female candles (red, probably), and I was actually watching Food Network the other day and saw a cake designer using that really fine gold dust mixed with vodka to give latches on a suitcase (made of cake) a gold look. Maybe you could do the same to the candles? I think you can get the gold junk at craft stores for pretty cheap.

Thanks Cora for the additional insight!!!!!!! :)

Truthfully you going to think me to be silly. I was told by a someone that I needed them to complete a spell. I search online but have yet to find any adam and eve candle at the cost suggested, So I was very curious about it.

No probs. Witchcraft and spell work really isn't about candles that cost the earth, its about the heart and emotion you put into the spell. That is the key ingrediant and you won't be able to buy it anywhere, it has to come from you.

For some reason this randomly came into my head, but if you were to get a male and female candle (or really any two candles that you see fit and decide which is which) and soften them enough where you can twist them together to form a sort of spiral, the wicks ideally joining together at the top of the candle, that's how I'd do it. Making two into one, as soul-mates are, yeah? : )

Sorry, I don't know much about these candles, but can someone tell me how man and woman candles are affective in spells?
That's a totally dumb question since, I've been doing this for a while now... But I've always been curious on how they work in spells and what they do. I know they must help you focus, but what kind of energy do they bring? Curious, cause like I said, never used em'!
Blessings.

They're (As far as I know and read about) almost solely used in love magic and as a pair. To bring two people closer, draw a love to you, blah blah blah, whatever. It's really all for symbolism, and I know that there's nowhere around here to get that sort of thing, so I usually just used shaped candles out. In fact, I very VERY rarely work with candles at all. I don't find them useful, personally. Unless I'm using the wax for something.

Well, and of course, for mood and smell. But that's not at all magical. XD
