When you pull the rope thru your hands while thinking of its solidness & completeness, do you feel that is "casting" as in setting intent to project a circle? I ask bcs that's innovative & original, which is cool. And is it repeated every time you lay the rope down?

The way I was taught was to take your 9 foot cord and have someone hold one end to the ground while you're at the other end of the rope holding a stick to the end and dredging a grove in the ground. Like a giant compass.

Oh that brings up something I read someplace about using your measure-cord to form an emergency circle to stand inside, assuming you wear your cord 24/7 under your clothes. It seemed odd when it would already form a circle around your waist but the action & intent make the difference, I'd guess.

I also forgot about a fun way I'd once used to cast circle which was to twirl a faceted sun catcher on a string like a lasso around my head. Watching sunlight glint off the twirling sun catcher was unique. Also "see it in your mind" & have intent.

I made a round rug to sit on and use as a boundary.
