A dream of chopsticks being dropped on the floor by someone and these black things were coming towards the person that dropped the sticks the black things kind of like snakes were flying kind of like birds the sky was light brown in her dream and the ground was more like a mocha brown and then she woke up. Any ideas what this means?

She said that when the chopsticks were falling they were in a X like X marks the spot

If X marks the treasure spot, it suggests perhaps she will find something she'd lost or put away & forgotten. The black snakes-turned-to-birds leans towards the latter, IMO.

They are not turning into birds they fly like birds and they are far away.

My gut feeling of symbolism is just a suggestion & other interpretations are certainly possible. To me the brown & black coloring & snake-like appearance suggest something of an earthy element association; while the action suggests it was air-borne; air element is associated with mental thought processes; so i related the symbol to something tangible that is flown away = absent mindedly forgotten, & X marks the spot where it can be found. (shrug). Go for it & let us know what you think. You know the dreamer & I don't, & you must feel the dream has a significance.
