Hello, I'm Venkelos!

I'm nearly 32, live in the USA in an inconsequential part of Ohio. I have an almost-6 year old son, and work in the hospitality industry.

I'm a particular fan of minerals and crystals, sigil magic, and the reconciliation of quantum mechanics and large-scale supersystems with fundamental mathematics. Go on, ask me about that sometime! :D

I also have an interest in Golden Dawn era practices, and an almost secular fascination with Dee's Enochian system.

Sagittarius, double Libra. I'm terrified of natural bodies of water and non-secure heights; I love the woods and the cold, and ideally I would love to run a profitable and sustainable farm, which is becoming progressively more difficult to do in today's society.

At one time I had over 50 hermit crabs in 330+ gallons of aquariums.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome. I hope you'll bless us with at least one thread about quantum mechanics.

Sure, at some point!

Extremely briefly though, because it doesn't really fit here - Calculus used to determine things like galactic movement and interstellar scales, and a lot of the more basic Physics behind how the universe functions as it does relies on 0 and infinity. We spend all of our time working within that system, and that makes even more sense now because our computer programs were written to calculate based on the approach of curves towards those ends. I personally believe that is our flaw, because neither zero nor infinity truly exist, and running math as though something at all exists leads to things like the "dark" matter/energy areas, which are essentially labels for "we have no evidence of this stuff aside from circumstances of outside things, and we use it to reconcile the math."

I think the members here understand that our practice doesn't really see eye to eye with physics. Physics, like time, is really a human construction to attempt to explain the unexplainable.

I like to argue (from the semantics standpoint, not so much the typical negative connotations associated), but I'll hold off on here since this is just my welcome thread and just say "to a degree!"

When I'm not working off this oddly-functioning app and actually typing, I may find a proper forum, check for preexisting discussions, and then make one on the matter. Not only for my own entertainment purposes, but also hearing the understanding of others can help to refine my own.

E: While I'm on that subject though, does this Kin thing not function? I have the first 400 essentially-free points but it never lets me claim them - either throws an API error or a "too many attempts" error.
