I'll step up the pain relief. The IV fluids should perk her up as well. She's doubtless feeling more out of sorts because of some dehydration. It's an excellent sign that she is using her box and trying to eat even with her discomfort. The purring means she knows how much loving care she's getting from her mom. I'll send some energy and calm your way to.

Antibiotics can cause stomach upset and loss of appetite. I wish I could be there to help with the wound care. If you can pm me a picture of it, I might be able to offer some advice. I do wound care on people, so it won't bother me.

She's doing ok so far. She does not like the cone over her head though. I try to keep it off for hef to eat and clean but you have to be right there to make sure she stays away from the wound, which is looking much better. Thanks you guys.

If the wound bed is beefy red, that's a good sign. Watch for any tissue turning dark or black. That isn't good. I dreamed about her the other night, and what I saw then, looked really good.

Well it's either tonight at 10:pm or tomorrow afternoon at 1:30.
Tonight we are on the waxing side of the full moon. what a horrible decision to have to make, just in general, she's very sick.

Gosh, that's one of the best-looking cats I ever saw.
Hope that the departure, when it comes, will be in the time of the blessed farewell and that the skye would open wide with a gentle embrace for her journey home.

Thanks SL she is a looker loveface though she looks pretty rough these days, lost lots of weight, she is doing remarkable well today best so far since Wednesday, even went on an early morning stroll with the spouse today. We'll see how things go, I found a super nice mobile vet, she had been here 3 days in a row checking on Pumpkin, her specialty is Palliative care or home euthanasia. She thinks she may have cancer of the jaw, same place it was broke as a kitten apparently it is common for that kind of break. She's on some meds, eating well and drinking on her own now.
Weirdest thing happened that Wed. night while my friend and I were waiting for the vet to arrive I went to consult an astrology book on the shelf to see about Leo and thinking it may be appropriate for this little lion to fly the rainbow in this sign. I hadn't cracked that book in years. What to my surprise pops out but the very first photo of Pumpkin when she was still living at step sons home. Woah, I think to self, so that's where that photo went!, and maybe this is a sign...
Blessings to all, Firebird
