Here's a rose shaped candle (too bad you can't see the glitter), a piece of amethyst (that doesn't look purple in the picture), a pretty gray and pink stone, and a lovely white stone.

My Hidden in Plain Sight, Super Secret Kitchen Altar
:fairy:
It All Looks So Normal
It All Looks So Normal
It started out as just the windowsill, but Mom had me put up this awkward shelf. It sits right above the sink, which is great because that's where I'm usually standing when I talk to the Lord and Lady. :) The contents of the vase vary depending on the season. In this picture, it's holding dried lilacs. I don't work with angels, but they bring important blessings. The plastic letters that spell out love were from a Valentine's Day doughnut.
If you know the identity of the mystery plant on the right, let my me know. I have no clue. :(

Very nice and simple. I love the one in the kitchen. I keep trying to figure out how to do a little altar in the kitchen (possibly to Airmid). My kitchen is weird though and pretty much all cabinets so I dont know where Id hang one.

 Thanks.
Do your cabinets have shelves? If so, how tall? There are little trays you can have from cabinet shelves. They're kind of small and short, but they're awesome if you don't have a lot of space. Maybe you can dedicate a cabinet to being an altar space. Airmid is associated with healing herbs, so maybe you could grow herbs in pots hung from the ceiling. I don't know anything about Airmid, but I found this site while I was trying to see if I could come up suggestions for you. http://www.seanet.com/~inisglas/airmid.html I hope it can give you some ideas.

Thank you for the link (you are really good about posting some great info).

I just started working with Airmid since Ive started really delving into herbs. Id love to add an altar for her in the kitchen since that is where I do all my work with herbs anyways, including cooking. That has some great ideas. I guess its time to get crafty. :evilwitch:

In the dark

Features:
  • Goddess & God candles (both by Yankee candle)
  • Elemental candles
  • Green stones (a green theme sounded good to me)
  • Those tiny green dots on the left are tiny seashells. I have a bottle of them them I'll often place on the west side of my altar. I took all the green ones out, plus two others that struck my fancy.
  • My pentacle tile is made from salt cough and crushed, colored egg shells.
  • On my pentacle tile is one of those glass marble-like things that are popular as aquarium decorations. It's my offering to the Lord and Lady for giving me fishy.
  • The heart is two strands of Mardi Gras beads twisted together.
  • The tall white pillar candle has a piece of twine wrapped around it.

These are so nice, Echo!!! It's making me miss my altar. ): I can't get it up until my landlord comes and puts the closet doors back on. I don't want anyone walking in and seeing my things only to think 'she worships the Devil! Oh no!' because I do believe one of my roommates is incredibly Christian. Of course I respect all beliefs, but Witchcraft is so misunderstood. ):

Anyways, I was getting off topic. I love the holder you have for those candles! It's wonderful!

Thanks Sakura. :) I love candles and holders, so I'm always super happy when I get something new. This is the first time that I've really had altars that I can keep up all the time. It's so much fun to redecorate the big one.
I bet you could set up a table and put a couple plants on it with some stones and a candles or two and have yourself a pretty inconspicuous altar. If anyone asks, you could say it's Feng Sui to bring good vibes.

Haha!! You and I think the same, because I was going to do just that! And use the Feng Sui excuse too. Hehe!
And of course! I love them too! I totally understand that. I had so much fun making my last one, and can't wait until I can do it again~!

I love your altars. They are adorable. The Mardi Gras beads are a great idea!

Thanks Pink. :) The set of Mardi Gras beads hanging from my mini altar were a gift from my former high priestess. She had a set herself that hung in her bedroom, which was the covenstead when I first joined. I've got a few other strands of Mardi Gras beads that I also consider part of my witchy tools. They look good wrapped around candles. ::coolglasses::

Tarot Time
This is my first deck that I got about a year ago. It's the Anne Stokes Gothic tarot. I ordered it through Amazon.
Image
I didn't realized this one was blurry until I put it here. :(

Image
This is the little pouch I made for my cards. I made it a couple years before I actually got my deck. XD It's made from a pair of cute pajama bottoms that didn't fit.

Image
This is my second deck. It's the Dark Carnival tarot deck. I ordered it through Etsy about a month ago.

Look, this deck came with it's own pouch!

I intentionally included the thumbnails of some of my photos. I don't know why, but when they're on here, they look huge. I don't want to slow someone's browser down with Godzilla sized pictures. :(
