I wonder if specific trees mark portals or if all trees serve some particular function to SP. I've also seen gauze-like white filmy drapery shapes in trees more than once, so I assumed they were dryads. And a few of us here have mentioned the SP disappearing into trees, or could it be they slip behind the tree so the trunk was between them and the viewer? Then disappear.
I've read of SP with wide brimmed hats. And some here at EUTM have mentioned hats and rain coats...reminds me of the men in black costumes.

Could it be required dress code? Are they in a union? And we used to think the communists were bada..!

I've never felt threatened in any way, other than "whuzzat!?". The void black flatness within the shadow just seems out of phase, or a step back off the time-line, so it can't reflect light. It doesn't seem to absorb light either. It's just a space that's not there. Sort of. It doesn't give off energy or suck it up.
Y'know Danmagnamius, you believe so strongly in the concept of twin flames that I wonder if you are the shadow that watched over your partner, actually drawing you together. I have to admit that I'm unfamiliar with the term but it means a great deal to you and your partner. If I understand right, you haven't seen that particular shadow person. Only your partner has. So,would you be likely to see yourself?
lucky I searched I hadn’t seen this reply, I actually thought maybe the shadow man is scared of me! But the concept that the shadow man is me is something I don’t want to mention to my Twin Flame! She is a bit frightened of me as it is, apparently that’s quite normal for Twin Flames! It’s funny because I was in deep distress the night she decided not to have anything to do with me again and that was the night she last saw the shadow man! Also I have done a Astro projection before with no training, and she felt my presence but the presence was not the shadow man, she just felt like I was there! Who knows I don’t know how the spirit world works all I know is it tries to communicate to me with ladybirds and numbers I know it sounds odd!

Um, actually that sounds pretty normal. We all have our sub-conscious codes reading the universe, and understand the archetypes of our time.
I haven't ever had any training in AP either. I just do it & took it for granted everybody does, but not everyone recognizes or acknowledges it.
