I just can't help feeling total awe viewing Kilauea in action

[EDITED, original video not found, this is probably similar from a few days earlier than June 2)

The Kilauea volcano is the youngest and most active on the island of Hawaii, and has been erupting almost continuously since 1983, according to the US Geological Survey. It's in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a major tourist attraction.

Aerial shots show the Puu Oo volcanic vent southeast of Kilauea's caldera churning smoke after the eruption.

"The summit crater hosts an active lava pond and a vigorous gas plume," the USGS says. "KÄ«lauea ranks among the world's most active volcanoes and may even top the list."

Kilauea lava flows have threatened communities numerous times. "From 1983, when the Puu Oo eruption began ... residential areas were threatened and homes were lost," said Janet Babb of the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

"Any time lava poses a threat to residents, it's a big deal."

There are 770 structures and 1,700 people in the area under mandatory evacuation, said Cindy McMillan, a spokeswoman for Gov. David Ige.

So amazing!
I was there in June of 1969 and Kilauea had just erupted in area that isn't too far from where it is now. Which at the time had been the longest eruption. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauna_Ulu
It had mostly stopped but the fresh lava was still real hot. I remember we drove close, it was the route where we're supposed to go but the lava covered the road https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chain_of_Craters_Road and we had to take the long way around because of it.
Visited the Halemaumau Crater too https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halemaumau_Crater at the Volcano House https://www.hawaiivolcanohouse.com/ Which is now closed due to this 2018 eruption.
It was such an interesting trip...so grateful we got to do that, we camped all around the big island, soooo much fun.
The black sand beach we saw https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ka ... &FORM=IGRE was covered when a different eruption started in the 1980's After our trip around the big island we went to Kawaii to visit my dads friend, as we disembarked the plane (stairs on the tarmac in those days) I was astounded at the amount of people getting on planes to fly over to the big island to watch the eruption.
Looks like there will be more island to love!

Well ...Pele is still at it over there. Kilauea has been busy since that 2018 eruption but has actually been erupting continuously since 1983.
Nasa Earth page has info...

and You tube has a live feed.

Seems the earth has several pretty sizable volcanos erupting currently.
