Before You Request a New Forum Be Created Here...

Having unused forums just creates more admin work for Starwitch to do (to both set up these forums, then have to disband them later due to lack of interest). It creates more monitoring areas for the mods to keep an eye on. Plus, they just generally make the board feel kind of "stale" energetically wherever they are. So, we'd just rather not have them here.

So, please pause and consider first if your forum idea will be of interest to others on the board, and also, if you yourself will even be using the very forum you propose. I know there's a rush of happy feelings when you think of a new forum, and it seems like a Really Great Idea! at that moment. But, in your excitement please pause and ask yourself how committed to it you, and probably others, will actually be.

If you really think your idea will be a go, then by all means propose it (we do like to try new things here). But if you notice you were initially happy with the idea, but a couple days later the honeymoon's over, quite frankly others probably don't care about it, either (here's an example of what I'm talking about: http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... 24558.html). If that's the case, don't post a request for a new forum to be created. Instead, explore which existing forums would be good places to discuss your ideas, or PM a mod and we could direct you to the appropriate forums.

Thank you for your understanding, all. :wink2:
