I have recently found an intact turtle shell (the turtle was unfortunately long dead) i want to do something with it, but im not sure what. Any suggestions?

Id love to make it into something for the craft like a scrying bowl or something like that ideally.

I've seen the top 1/2 made into bowls & since the turtle isn't using it any more so no harm's done. Hope you'll take a pic when you finish.

I was thinking of painting the inside black and putting a clear seal on the outside for scrying, but ive never worked with bone before. Is there something i need to do to prepare it for paint or can i just go for it?

Check a hardware store. Some kind of water seal should work. Paint it black first, then seal. And get one of those little tripod holders to keep it level while water is in it.
