spell to tone down bad tempered brother

Postby tish » Tue Jul 10, 2007 2:48 am

hi guys! it's been quite awhile since i last posted a topic here. einweis. here's the thing. my brother has a bad temper. he almost always end up fighting with anyone he has had an argument. as of the moment he is angry with my dad, my uncle who's our neighbor, his high school best friend, and threatening to shoot them. (he just got he's gone this month-- and been practicing in a shooting range at that). my mom and i are really bothered by his behaviour. he might end up killing anyone he gets pissed off with. i have done twice a binding spell for him. had a white yarn wrapped around a white paper with all the people i want to protect from him. and i included him in that list as well. i was chanting the "i bind you from doing harm, harm against yourself and harm against other people." while wrapping the yarn around the paper. please please help me if you have other suggestions. more appropriate spell i should do. and how i can make more effective. thanks!

As far as I'm concerned, there's no real spell to change a person's character.
I think the best solution for this might just be talking to him.

Um, my suggestion would be to do a protection spell for those you want to protect. Binding spells can have unforeseen and bizarre side-effects.

Especially since you are dealing with anger. Think about it: ever been really really mad and you held it in? Not only does it tend to leak out anyway, but once you relax one tends to explode. The secret to dealing with anger from within yourself is to find out the precise shape of that chip on your shoulder and *deal* with it. You can't do that from the outside with magick. It takes time, effort and a sencere wish to change. You cannot magick that. Too bad, huh?

thanks for your suggestions guys. talking to him is useless. he doesn't listen to any of us. anger management? i even considered a psychiatrist but he's a doctor so he doesn't believe i needs those. oh well probably just have to do a protection spell for each of them.

I was describing the nature of the problem. Magic tends to work along the same lines of the nature of the problem itself. You can't change your brother, but you can help protect those who are affected by him.

And hey, I can't stop you from going ahead with your binding spell. My discussion of the problem is there to speculate on what some of the side-effects of casting the binding might be.

Another thing you can do is to put a charm of peace around public areas... So he can be angry in his own head all he wants, but feels restrained from doing so in, say, the living-room. Now this isn't a garantee that it won't happen, just will make it less likely. You do have to recharge them every so often...

charm of peace? can you help me do that? i'm open to all possible ways in protecting my family from his bad temper. i understand what you were trying to say regarding the binding spell. i agree that protecting the people from him would do much better than binding him. i do not want to risk any repercussions that may occur in the process or as a result of my spell. too many lives are at stake.

It's pretty easy, actually. Cleanse the area first. (there are already very good explanations on how to do that already on this site... just use the search)

Then you have a rather wide variety of options to choose from. You can make a peace air spray that you put in a spray bottle and spritz in the air. Heck, if you get a lavender, jasmine, or yang-lang scented air freshener, or scented candle, you can bless that to bring peace.

Or maybe a bowl of blessed potpourri placed in strategic points. Or even, you can make a blessing powder and sprinkle it in the four corners of the room.

The thing with these is that they have to be redone on a regular basis, from every one to ever three months depending on how bad the problem is. Also, if the peace is visibly broken at one point or another, it's a good idea to redo the spell over that area.

Also, some of these *stick* better than others. The powder, for example, may need to be done more often, like once a day for a week, then once a week after that. You only need to use a pinch per corner, then visualize a circle of peaceful energy over that space. It's ok if it gets vacuumed away! (It just releases the energy into the environment when it's sprinkled.)

If you want ideas on blends to use, just let me know which approach would be most appropriate to your situation, and we can go from there.
You could also use some blessed blue lace agate hidden around the areas you want to protect. You can get chips of the stuff and put them behind picture frames and the like... I don't know how much control you have over your surroundings.
