Zen Roll : ( meaning )

A symmetrical roll , split down the middle , half everything half not ,
eaten after deep meditation on the nature of the great and yeast of things...;)

Focusing on the rising , while loafing around...
not quite. It's the trick I showed off in my video

I saw your trick. Good trick...I work with large swords...;)

However...I do like my zen roll after meditation, with tomato herb cream cheese, green onions, and olives. Then loaf around with a bowl of cappuccino...lol...

( seriously )

Had such a wonderful lunch yesterday. I don't know the English name, but it's a mix of pork meat, bacon, sausage, potatoes, onion, pepper (both vegetable and spice) and other veggies can be added, too. It's all baked together in aluminium foil.

@firebirdflys what a horrible experience! I can imagine how confused you must have been when your husband woke you up. Fortunately that no one was injured.

Bychan, I'm glad that I made you smile :) Yes, that's a very useful tip for those who are in an emergency. Psychology in action.

Try it in a clay pot , Moonraingirl...

Even better...

Aluminum foil is okay in a pinch , if you have to...

But a clay pot brings out more natural flavor...

Italians make a small oval clay pot that is perfect !

That's a great tip, Shawn. I've heard about it but haven't tried it yet. It must be really great for gaining most natural and traditional taste. Plus I like that you can bake bread in it. I bake rolls from time to time, in fact, they are planned for today. I'll post a picture when they are done. We have an automatic oven for bread but don't bake it so often anymore. I bet that bread in clay pot must taste wonderful.

I know what you are referring to, but I don't know the name either.
Aluminium foil is known for leaving the food with aluminium iones which in time can be dangerous for the body. Do you know those foils that are used for backing chicken? You can use those for giving your food the same taste the aluminium foil gives, and avoid eating aluminium iones at the same time.

Now that we are talking about food, I should really get something to eat. My stomach is pretty vocal. :)

Thank you for warning me about this. Luckily I only eat this occasionally so hopefully it won't have any adverse effect. But I'll know not to use it next time. I know that antiperspirants are dangerous, too, because they contain aluminium as well.

Sometimes it looks that everything is dangerous. Even breathing because the air is polluted. I used to be quite careful about all those toxins in the past. Nowadays I'm more relaxed about it. If we truly wanted to avoid everything, we couldn't live normally.

We must balance quantity of life ( how long we want to live )
with quality of life ( how much we enjoy what we do and consume )...

I got this from the zen roll...;)

This reminded me of what happened to our neighbour in the garden area couple months ago. He was so kind that he let homeless couple live in his cottage during the winter while he went to his apartment. The couple got drunk and set the cottage on fire, probably from cigarettes. They run away, letting the building completely burn and what is worst, there was a dog in a shelter who couldn't run away and he burned, too  :anxious:
There's an ironic saying here: "Being kind will make you a beggar". It was totally true in this case.
