xx Selene's xx Book of shadows

If you would prefer not to keep a physical Book of Shadows in your home for privacy reasons, you can collect the spells, rituals, correspondences, etc. that you would like to keep for future use and store them here. Start your own thread named "Name's Book of Shadows" and put your information in there, using as many posts as you need to. It's not private, but at least your parents won't see it. You can also get ideas from other people's Books of Shadows.

Protect this collection of spells i hold,
for they are more precious than gold.
They are my own unless I state,
"borrowed from a friend,"
because its so great.
I must however now serious be,
for no harm must come because of me.
So as I learn more everyday,
from peace and love I shall not stray.

Hmmm contents section? probably. oh, I wonder if i can set up a post for a specific area of spell work and edit it when i need to add something. Just a thought.

I just posted mine up randomly. I don't think that it matters how its posted, its the content and thought that counts.
A seasoned Green Witch am I, With plant wisdom and magic to share.
A child of the flowers am I, With blossoms budding from my hair.
A friend of the Fairies am I, A crown of leaves and flowers I wear.
A daughter of the Earth am I, Walking Her ways with feet ever bare.
A sister of the waters am I, Flowing wild and free without a care.
At one with the blowing winds am I, Singing softly through the midnight air.
A keeper of the fire am I, Let me kindle your passions if you dare.
Connected in Spirit with You am I, Fused together as one in prayer.

That makes life a bit easier.

Also does anyone know why its called a BoS. Its just that shadows seem to have negitive connections, its a bit confusing. x

I think its called a Book of Shadows because its meant to be hidden. There's also a Book of Lights. You can look it up on google.

This is copied from the Wiccan Book of the Law: Let all Wiccans keep their Book of Light with the teachings and lore of their Tradition, yet let every Book of Light contain the rites and ways of each individual, which are the harvest of each child of the Wicca, to use the wisdom of their heritage as the seeds of their own personal wisdom.

In the old times witches couldnt practise their craft openly, so they had to keep their doings a secret, the best time for that was the night and usually somewhere in the shadows. Simply put its a book that holds information of what was happening in the shadows.
kind of a scary name right?
