This is my latest altar - Mabon to Samhain. I change altars with each of the Sabbats to keep things seasonal and fresh.

Everyone has such lovely altars
I'll have to think to take a picture of mine on Samhain or if I end up setting it up all the way for the full moon.
I have a little altar that I use in workings, but most of my tools and stones are scattered across my dresser normally. In their cardinal directions still, like if I took off everything unrelated it would look like a simple altar.
It's really nice though, it's got this little door in the middle of the dresser covering 3 smaller drawers that I can keep incense, candles, herbs and whatnot in.

I just made myself a trinity candle for my altar. I made three votives then put them into one candle. White for Father, black for Holy Spirit and red for Son. I put frankincense in the white, myrrh in the black and dragon's blood in the red. I not only represents the trinity but is set up with resins for exorcism and protection. After I made each one I put them in a cardboard circle I used as a mold. Poured in white wax and I now have a three wick pillar candle. It was easier than it sounds.

Sorry, can't work out how to make the picture appear. I've tried everything - honest.

It's because you have your flicker settings set so that all your photos are copyrighted. So Flickr makes it so that no one can hotlink to them or download them. You need to change that setting, at least on the altar photo.

But I found a way to make it work. I viewed "all sizes" of your photo and took the URL from one of those (the medium one, but any of them would work since they weren't copyrighted like the photo on the main page was.)

I notice everyone has different things in each of their alters, Some of you have different color candles or no candles ..something that seems to look like sand, some have chakra(spelling?) stones and different animals.. I've notice some don't have the typical things that are said SHOULD be at the alter. Would someone mind listing the basics/must have's? Or is it all personal?

I strongly believe in doing what feels right to the individual person. I personally love candles so mine has candles. I also have sand I personally collected from the beach (Poseidon is my patron god) and i have a seashell on it, and sea salt. I will also have a statue of an angel. It feels right to me, so I do it. I don't believe there's a right or a wrong way.

But everyone's altars are so pretty! Autumnal Rose I love the stone in the middle of yours!

I am not sure about having the salt higher, but I like the idea of not burning myself with the fire element candle.
And my Matern Goddess is Nyx and I was told she likes jewelry, so that's why I have left my jewelry boxes there.
Also the Bowl, has meaning to me, since it was one of my grandma's dishware, but it is the only bowl left from that set. Like it was meant to be.
