Moral/Ethical question...

Postby SilverBlaze » Mon Nov 21, 2011 1:12 pm

Hey guys.

So the 1st rule we all learned is "Harm ye none."

There's a girl I work with that is causing severe tension at work (there's a whole 6 of us that work together), and it's getting really bad. I was looking for a spell to maybe soothe the tension, or create better communication, or something.

Then I came across information about 'hotfooting'. Never heard of it before, but it seems to be hoodoo that moves a person out of the way.

Now, can I try to combine the two? Set it up so that if things can't be peacefully resolved, that she move on if it's in the best interest of everyone? Or is this manipulating someone and/or causing harm? She -barely- does her job well enough to keep the boss from firing her, which is the reason she's still working. He doesn't have the just means to terminate her.

I'm just tired of being used as a rug, and I recall some author once saying something along the lines of: "Pagans don't cause harm to others.... sometimes, we have to remember that we are others too, and we don't deserve to be hurt either."

I think it all comes down to you. Everyone here could say no and you could still do it. Just do what your heart tells you.

Personally I think the rule of three should always be kept in mind. Every good you do will come back times three same for the bad. It's a simple rule, which means you are free to do as you please, but keep in mind the rules of karma.
Do as you see fit, and let your own heart and mind guide you,

Blessings

Our bible IS the wind and the rain."

Hi SilverBlaze, My name is Luna and I so get it. I work in a small Department with less than 15 employees. We have a boss that has slowly stripped most of the workers of their confidence, granted the workers gave up their confidence but, it is a crafty person that can strip a man of their confidence. He has come at me many times in ten years, and while my ability and confidence have never been shaken, I have allowed his " ways "' to rob me of sleep, worry about my coworkers, question everything that is done. I have lived by the Harm None and believe it to be true. So with this man, I have done binding spell work, noted that it be at work only. I know my note will not exempt me from the law of three, but after ten years this man is finally almost livable at work. I waited for Karma, I know Karma to be real, but I couldn't wait anymore. I believe there are some people on this Earth that live to harm others any way they can, and in my instance, that man never cared who or what he hurt, rode like a green mule, cost them money, lied about, and drove out of their job. I also did not send any harm his way, only stopped him from hurting people at work. Another good one is that the person doing the harm realizes the pain he has caused.I believe my Goddess brought the spell to me as I spent the better part of the last two years meditating to Hecate about this subject. I have no second thoughts about this, but I would say to you to meditate, ask the Goddess to reveal the answer to you. All my best wishes go out to you, Luna.

I just wanted to pop in and say thanks guys! ^_^ I know, a bit late, but it's been crazy busy. Shortly after I asked this, it totally slipped my mind (rather unusual for me, since I tend to be like a dog with a bone when it comes to spellwork), and a few days later (the next time we crossed paths), she started screaming me out and cussing in front of guests and the camera. The boss called her up on it, and she said she had no clue what happened; she saw me and just couldn't control it.

Needless to say, she doesn't work here any more. I am so utterly thankful... I was seriously contemplating this hotfoot powder, but I wasn't exactly sure where it fell in terms of 'harm ye none'. :/
