Monster under the bed

For conversations and questions about hauntings and spirit visitations. This is not the place to talk about demons. In fact, this whole board isn't the place for it. A Christian site is a better place for that.

Monster under the bed

Postby barker » Sun Nov 26, 2017 11:48 am

G'day,

I have a monster under my bed, it's a gargoyle. I have cleared a lot of negativitity out from that space. The monster is very alone and deep and might actually be helping me. Does anybody know how to work thru such an entity? What they really do? I get the feeling it's half-positive.

I'm thinking of it as a shadow-self. It is a strength when controlled as well as a hinderance when let loose. Maybe researching some shadow-work sites can direct you. Facing one's own self defeating behaviors is another thought. Gee, don't we all have monsters under the bed? When we sleep we let down our guard.

If it's an externalized monster, one of someone else's creation that infringes on your space, then look for outside dehumanizing influences, in which simply becoming aware of someone's controlling attitudes will weaken them.

It left, it was very internal and had something to do with a guy I knew a year or 2 ago. This person did quite like me, but perhaps i was a bit precious. Not too bad a monster really. :)

I get the feeling monsters under the bed, being so common or well known, might have a slightly positive or at least a safe role to play. But i don't know what.

They show us the strengths in our weaknesses, and the weaknesses in our strengths. Very useful.

Gargoyle - 411. We must look to the original use. This is a conspiracy that can be laid at the feet of the masons. The real ones who cut stone for the great medieval cathedrals. They started as decorative water spouts. Linguistics is a good guide to origins and original meaning. The term is from the French - GARGOUILLE. Translates as throat or gullet. They were used as water conduits to carry excess water off church roofs. The masons thought that if they were ugly they would scare away all types of evil spirits. When not being used as a rain spout, these statues are know as grotesques, chimeras or bosses. I guess bosses haven't changed much in a thousand years. The gargoyle has always been a guard that never rests. He is carved to be permanently repulsive of visage to protect something held dear. Any other meaning is just superstition.

That's accurate, planewalker. It lives in me somehow too and it is / i am always on guard to persevere against the evil spirits. Strange situation to be in, I really would prefer to let go and ignore, but I suppose there is reward in it.

The time spent around them in the end could make one stronger.

I believe it is protecting my wealth (not important to me) but not my ego (which somehow is). Perhaps I am being taught to be more resolute in attaining self esteem, in the external sense. IMHO that is sound. But seriously, this is uncomfortable and a bit unworldly. Maybe I don't really rate adulthood as yet.
