Ok, so I did something weird the other day. I sat in front of my mirror in a semi dark room, with a lit candle in front of me. I could just barely make out my face.
Then I just looked, stared at myself. After a few minutes my face began to change, it morphed into several different people, men, women, young, old. And even a few times it was hideous and went black. I kept thinking, show me who I am, who was I in a past life.
I wasn't scared, not even when my face distorted and went black. It was hard not to let my eyes get blurry(from staring). But even blinking didn't stop the faces from coming. It was neat.
I have no idea what it could mean, maybe I saw my past faces, maybe just a mind/eye trick.

Oh I have done this often, mirrors are amazing portals. You can enhance the experience by making a designated scrying mirror. You can use a small mirror and paint the back black and charge it in the fullmoon, but if you do you are never to use it for anything else other than magickal work and you have to leave it covered when the sun is out.

Mirrors are powerful things because we are one of few creatures who are able to recognise ourselves, this gives us a more intimate connection with the relection that has become so normal.

Sounds like a form of scrying. Hone this gift, lemme tell ya! I'm terrible with scrying, thats why I say this. Like AutumnMaidens said, paint the back of a mirror black and practice on that.
