help!

Postby azure_dragon » Thu Dec 15, 2011 1:20 am

Ok so I was doing a spell for a friend of mine to send some luck his way (with his permission, of course). It involved a small blue candle; I cast my circle, lit the candle in a small glass candlestick, thanked the goddess and god, and closed my circle, leaving the candle to burn down. Now, when I lit the candle, it took a while to light, which I thought was odd but I thought it was probably the lighter, I've been having problems with the lighter before this. I've had this particular candlestick for about seven months, and I've let candles burn down in it before, but this night as the candle got down to the last, the candlestick broke clean in half. I didn't leave it near a cold window where it would be a temperature change issue, and I've never had problems with it before; I always cleanse it after each use. Is this a bad omen or am I overlooking things?

I am not a big fan of talking for the 'fates' if you will. You can lay a card for him and see if there is any reason you should not interfere if you are really worried about it. Otherwise I would suggest trying a new candle, if it happens again I would suggest leaving it alone and letting fate take its course.

Blessings

I read somewhere (I think on a member's Book if Shadows on this website) that if glass breaks during spell craft or rituals it is a symbol that "spirit", which of course can be and is the God and Goddess, is present in your working. It seems it would be the same as your candle breaking in half. Just remember the threefold law...whatever energy you put out comes back to you threefold.

There may have Been an air bubble or a fissure ( crack) in your candle.
