Hello, Hello. (:

Say hello and tell us a little bit about you and your interests.

Hello, Hello. (:

Postby -Lypsy- » Thu Feb 23, 2012 10:08 pm

Well, this is a few days late, but oh well. (:

My name is Brittney, but I like to go by the nickname of Lypsy. Mostly because I'm really into Greek Mythology, and I love the name Calypso, so a friend started calling me Lypsy, and I really liked it. It has a nice ring to it. :P
But anywho, I got into Wicca when I was about 17 and I really like it, so I'm trying to learn as much about it as I possibly can. I actually think at an early age (like 12 or so) I was given a sign that it was the right religion for me. When I was around 12, I bought a necklace that to me looks like a moon (another Wiccan friend of mine thinks it's more like a sickle), either way, looking back I think it was a sign trying to draw me to Wicca. You may or may not agree, but that's what it seems like to me..

But, uhm, a few random facts, I guess you could call them, about me.. I love photography, and art. I couldn't live without music. I'm very random. Kind of shy, but not too bad. I love tattoos and piercings. I enjoy singing, but other than that, I'm not very musically inclined, though I'd love to play piano, or violin. Uhm, I don' really know what else to put. >.<

But uhm, I'm here to learn more about Wicca and get a deeper understanding of the religion as a whole. So, let's do this, my brain is thirsty. >:D

Hey Lypsy (I LOVE that nickname) :D Welcome to the forum!! I thought that the necklace thing was very interesting because practically the same thing happened to me. I had bought a moonstone necklace wrapped in a wire that was shaped as a pentagram. After I bought it I was also guided to this book on a website talking about Wicca. Coincidence? I think not ;)
We have alot in common too! Photography, art, music, playing piano, I even like small tattoos but I don't think I'm brave enough to actually get one. Anyway glad you joined and I'd love to help out :)

Thank you! And that most definitely does not seem like a coincidence. ^-^

But I'd like to take you up on your offer to help. (:

What all do you know about herbs and their uses?? That's what I'm focusing on right now.

Great! When it comes to herbs i'm rather bad at talking about them so here is a link to a good Herb use dictonary herbal-vocab-t21014.html . I wish I could explain this but I always get information about herbs confused together :( But I hope this helps!!! :D

Hey Lypsy!! (<------LOOOVE IT!)
Welcome to the forum! I'm only 13 but i got interested in Wicca when i was 12 years old, and ive been studying and celebrating sabbats since! right now im a bit of a "weekend wiccan", because due to school i only have weekends to do any Wiccan things (although during the week i pray and whisper thanks and observe nature, but i havent done a ritual or spell in a long time..) I loove art, and i love music, especially old 80s music like "HOtel California" and singers like Bruce Springsteen (my dad is a music teacher, so he introduced me to that stuff). i dont really like tattoos though...
anyways, have a nice day!

Thanks. Lol. And I don't really get to practice that much either with trying to find work and what not, I suppose you could call me a weekend Wiccan right now too. :P So, for the moment, I just read and try to learn more about it, and give thanks and say prayers when I can, because things are pretty hectic right now. But hopefully once things calm down a bit I can get more into it. (:
I actually got my first tattoo a couple weeks ago. It's an owl, and it's positively adorable. :3

that is really cool! :D :D
things have changed a lot for me, and I was just thinking about tattoos today. i would like to have a tattoo, because one of our teachers who has a tattoo said it wasn't painful. and it would be cool to have symbols like that on your skin. i wish they could have adhesive tattoos, like temporary tattoos that never come off unless you remove it with some kind of special product like nail polish remover. then it would be painless and not permanent.
