Energy Healing versus Spiritual Healing

Postby Foxspirit » Sun Sep 23, 2018 1:12 am

Good Evening and Merry Meet,

I want to start off by saying before this post (being my very first post, so please forgive me if its a bit in depth.) I went through and read as much of the posts her on Autism as much as possible. I don't want to waste anyone's time. I also was sure to read this recommended post before adding my first post. before-you-post-read-this-t30309.html

I am a father of two identical twin 3 1/2 year old girls who have been diagnosed with autism. My girls are already active in a Pre-K Special ED school and we have also signed up for ABA services to help with the girls communication. Both girls are delayed speakers. The odd thing for me is that they have a large vocabulary, they can sing whole children's songs in both English and Japanese. But, they cannot seem to understand how to use words to communicate to others. They can sometimes ask for things in two word combos and say please afterwords, but we have to really encourage them to use words each time. We have not had much luck or progress. We are hoping the ABA Therapists that we will be working with soon on a daily basis will be able to help them to communicate better.

My question primarily revolve around energy work or spiritual healers. I have read online that some energy healers indicate that once they were able to do a "cleansing" that some of their patient's autistic attributes lessened or they became more social/communicative. Does anyone here have any knowledge of any energy or spiritual healers who have worked to help autistic clients or children? My girls were diagnosed to be very "light" on the spectrum and that their cognitive function is very good. My wife and I are trying to be strong and have hope that they will be able to communicate and develop as other children do soon. I realize that they may never be completely the same as other children that do not have autism. But, I hope you can understand what I am trying to say I mean no disrespect to anyone here who has Autism or grown up with Autism in their lives.

If I may also add for myself...If I may say I have a lot of pain and anger and regret held inside. One of the spiritual distance healers I contacted said that our girls communicate by telepathy and that indirectly my wife and I are also affecting our children's ability to communicate. I don't know if that statement from the healer was BS or if it is true. But I thought others that may be more connected to the spiritual side may know what she was trying to say. My wife and I felt very hurt from this comment from the spiritual healer...like we are preventing our girls from being able to speak or communicate. The healer did a cleansing on me (I cannot say I felt anything in particular, but I do believe I felt a strong whole body numbing feeling during our conversation.) The healer said that she reached out to our twins and said that they are two sensitive and she needed to do the cleansing only on me first. She said if she forced a cleansing on the girls that it could cause them harm and that she already has an agreement with her Spirit Guides that she would lose her healing ability if she forced a cleansing work. I have not arranged another session as I was not sure what to make of this. She also indicated that she picked up that the girls incarnated from a war ravaged area possibly Syria or Africa. Maybe that may have something to do with why she had to take her time to reach out to them, I don't know.

The day I found out my wife was pregnant, I prayed long and hard and told God that I can take anything, but I cannot take something being wrong with our twins. I prayed for support that they would be born as normal healthy little girls. After the girls diagnosis with Autism..... I felt very betrayed and abandoned and quite effectively slapped in the face. Each day that goes by I see other little girls having conversations with their Daddy's and I can see the love and joy that they share. I feel that as my girls grow each day, that his same experience that we could have had together is lost forever. I wont be able to get it back once they are older. I would give anything for them to be able to communicate with words more. I see my wife break down and cry .....and I just feel so helpless to help her or them. Sorry for the emotional dump, I just felt I had to say what I was feeling. Thank you very much for your time and Blessed Be to each and all here.

Hi Foxspirit,

Your post resonates with me as I have a little nephew who is three. The first nephew to officially make me an uncle, and I love him like my own. He had delayed speech for a while but was otherwise ok. Even then, during those long months, there was some cause for concern, and I often found myself either in thought or even when playing with him, wishing that he would overcome his ordeal soon. It was only during one incident, where he excitedly came up to me to show me a drawing that I knew he was perfect the way he is. I wept that day because I felt so ashamed - the real injustice was mine - his "flaw" and "imperfection" was only in my mind - diagnosis or not.

Please start to see your children as they are. The gifts of this world are not always easily perceived - without attempting to sound brash, please know that they could be in more precarious predicaments than they are now. Unlike other children who are less fortunate, they are physically healthy. They just happen to be a bit different from other children, and that is completely okay. There is no one to blame and no one to hold accountable for their condition. There is nothing to do but accept them and love them, and give them the best opportunity to better themselves in this world.

This is your primary job as a parent, and Love is the magic you need to embrace and uphold. I suppose for the past few years, you have set an expectation of them and a mental picture of what your experience with them will be. While it is not wrong to want an ideal fatherhood, it is also unfair to expect your girls to live up to these expectations, especially for things that are not within their control. If what you are waiting for is a sign of Love from them, while you may not receive it specifically through words, it will come through other means: action, from their eyes, smile, touch, hugs, kisses and the trust they place in you, their father.

Undoubtedly you have a challenge, but what you also have here is an Opening/Invitation/Call to Journey - to do something beyond your set expectation or beyond what you even thought was possible. Which is to feel, understand and project Love to your children without words. This is your mission now as a father, and as a Human Being. Take this as a fresh beginning and reframe your relationship with them to be about this. They might surprise you with how they reciprocate.

In the arena of cleansing, look into ways to find Peace within yourself first. I am not a judge of other healers, but there are always others who might seek to benefit from the plight of others. Your situation is the struggle of many, I urge you to look into Joseph Campbell and his work on Monomyth - Hero of a Thousand Faces. Despite how you feel, you are NOT powerless, you are simply starting on your journey towards finding your Power, and whether you can believe it or not, your wonderful girls are vital to your journey. This is the divine knowledge that I do know and that I can share with you through Sophia Perennis.

My advice would be to empower yourself first, be honest with yourself about your pain, anger and regret. I am proud that you are able to admit and acknowledge them, not many can even say that or be aware of what they are carrying around inside - so you have at least made some headway there. But now that you know you have them, you owe it to yourself to free yourself of them. That is TRUE cleansing work, and the kind that is truly transformative, because you will be giving yourself the power and permission to change and survive. And that is Power you draw from your own Spirit, and your own authority - not from healers or anything of the sort.

It is not an accident that you feel ignited enough to come here, sign up for an account, to be approved - just to leave a little piece of your heart here for us. You are reaching out, and I am offering what I have learnt through my own spiritual journeys. To have Faith, Love, be open to guidance, and acknowledge every single day that your girls are a huge part of your spiritual and physical transformation. They are fundamental to it.

All the best to you.

The 12 Stages of The Hero's Journey
https://www.gaia.com/lp/content/jospeh- ... than-ever/
https://medium.com/personal-growth/a-ca ... 18e148d849

Hero's Journey - Mythic Structure - Monomyth

1. Ordinary World
This is where the Hero's exists before his present story begins, oblivious of the adventures to come. It's his safe place. His everyday life where we learn crucial details about our Hero, his true nature, capabilities and outlook on life. This anchors the Hero as a human, just like you and me, and makes it easier for us to identify with him and hence later, empathize with his plight.

2. Call To Adventure
The Hero's adventure begins when he receives a call to action, such as a direct threat to his safety, his family, his way of life or to the peace of the community in which he lives. It may not be as dramatic as a gunshot, but simply a phone call or conversation but whatever the call is, and however it manifests itself, it ultimately disrupts the comfort of the Hero's Ordinary World and presents a challenge or quest that must be undertaken.

3. Refusal Of The Call
Although the Hero may be eager to accept the quest, at this stage he will have fears that need overcoming. Second thoughts or even deep personal doubts as to whether or not he is up to the challenge. When this happens, the Hero will refuse the call and as a result may suffer somehow. The problem he faces may seem to much to handle and the comfort of home far more attractive than the perilous road ahead. This would also be our own response and once again helps us bond further with the reluctant Hero.

4. Meeting The Mentor
At this crucial turning point where the Hero desperately needs guidance he meets a mentor figure who gives him something he needs. He could be given an object of great importance, insight into the dilemma he faces, wise advice, practical training or even self-confidence. Whatever the mentor provides the Hero with it serves to dispel his doubts and fears and give him the strength and courage to begin his quest.

5. Crossing The Threshold
The Hero is now ready to act upon his call to adventure and truly begin his quest, whether it be physical, spiritual or emotional. He may go willingly or he may be pushed, but either way he finally crosses the threshold between the world he is familiar with and that which he is not. It may be leaving home for the first time in his life or just doing something he has always been scared to do. However the threshold presents itself, this action signifies the Hero's commitment to his journey an whatever it may have in store for him.

6. Tests, Allies, Enemies
Now finally out of his comfort zone the Hero is confronted with an ever more difficult series of challenges that test him in a variety of ways. Obstacles are thrown across his path; whether they be physical hurdles or people bent on thwarting his progress, the Hero must overcome each challenge he is presented with on the journey towards his ultimate goal.

The Hero needs to find out who can be trusted and who can't. He may earn allies and meet enemies who will, each in their own way, help prepare him for the greater ordeals yet to come. This is the stage where his skills and/or powers are tested and every obstacle that he faces helps us gain a deeper insight into his character and ultimately identify with him even more.

7. Approach To The Inmost Cave
The inmost cave may represent many things in the Hero's story such as an actual location in which lies a terrible danger or an inner conflict which up until now the Hero has not had to face. As the Hero approaches the cave he must make final preparations before taking that final leap into the great unknown.

At the threshold to the inmost cave the Hero may once again face some of the doubts and fears that first surfaced upon his call to adventure. He may need some time to reflect upon his journey and the treacherous road ahead in order to find the courage to continue. This brief respite helps the audience understand the magnitude of the ordeal that awaits the Hero and escalates the tension in anticipation of his ultimate test.

8. Ordeal
The Supreme Ordeal may be a dangerous physical test or a deep inner crisis that the Hero must face in order to survive or for the world in which the Hero lives to continue to exist. Whether it be facing his greatest fear or most deadly foe, the Hero must draw upon all of his skills and his experiences gathered upon the path to the inmost cave in order to overcome his most difficulty challenge.

Only through some form of "death" can the Hero be reborn, experiencing a metaphorical resurrection that somehow grants him greater power or insight necessary in order to fulfill his destiny or reach his journey's end. This is the high-point of the Hero's story and where everything he holds dear is put on the line. If he fails, he will either die or life as he knows it will never be the same again.

9. Reward (Seizing The Sword)
After defeating the enemy, surviving death and finally overcoming his greatest personal challenge, the Hero is ultimately transformed into a new state, emerging from battle as a stronger person and often with a prize.

The Reward may come in many forms: an object of great importance or power, a secret, greater knowledge or insight, or even reconciliation with a loved one or ally. Whatever the treasure, which may well facilitate his return to the Ordinary World, the Hero must quickly put celebrations aside and prepare for the last leg of his journey.

10. The Road Back
This stage in the Hero's journey represents a reverse echo of the Call to Adventure in which the Hero had to cross the first threshold. Now he must return home with his reward but this time the anticipation of danger is replaced with that of acclaim and perhaps vindication, absolution or even exoneration.

But the Hero's journey is not yet over and he may still need one last push back into the Ordinary World. The moment before the Hero finally commits to the last stage of his journey may be a moment in which he must choose between his own personal objective and that of a Higher Cause.

11. Resurrection
This is the climax in which the Hero must have his final and most dangerous encounter with death. The final battle also represents something far greater than the Hero's own existence with its outcome having far-reaching consequences to his Ordinary World and the lives of those he left behind.

If he fails, others will suffer and this not only places more weight upon his shoulders but in a movie, grips the audience so that they too feel part of the conflict and share the Hero's hopes, fears and trepidation. Ultimately the Hero will succeed, destroy his enemy and emerge from battle cleansed and reborn.

12. Return With The Elixir
This is the final stage of the Hero's journey in which he returns home to his Ordinary World a changed man. He will have grown as a person, learned many things, faced many terrible dangers and even death but now looks forward to the start of a new life. His return may bring fresh hope to those he left behind, a direct solution to their problems or perhaps a new perspective for everyone to consider.

The final reward that he obtains may be literal or metaphoric. It could be a cause for celebration, self-realization or an end to strife, but whatever it is it represents three things: change, success and proof of his journey. The return home also signals the need for resolution for the story's other key players. The Hero's doubters will be ostracized, his enemies punished and his allies rewarded. Ultimately the Hero will return to where he started but things will clearly never be the same again.

Thank you Birublackzoey for your in depth comments.
I will have to spend some time to take in what you wrote. Some of what you have mentioned I have tried to embrace spiritually. As there is always a need for spiritual and mental growth. It is easier said then done or put into practice.

However, putting this to practice or to heart is one thing when you can be objective. It is hard to stand on the outside looking in, because you are emotionally involved. I do see my girls for what they are and what they could be. I think the thing that is making me spring to action started with my mistaken belief that this was a "twin speech delay" as this is very common in twins. My wife kept telling me from around age 1 1/2 to age 2 that something was wrong with them. She told me many times and I kept telling her back, your silly to worry about them. They are smart, healthy and this is clearly a twin thing.

The day they were diagnosed with Autism I realized I completely let my wife down.... I did not listen...as is the case with most men..be it pride or just manly arrogance. From that day, I realized I had to take action. I have not slept much and have taken so many avenues to try to help my girls...and my wife who is in immense pain. Anyway. I will try to meditate on what you have written here. I'm here. My wife and girls are sleeping right now and healthy. That is enough for the moment. Thanks again for your comments. I will write back soon.

I wouldn't invest any more time, money, or energy into the woman you described. I don't know if a definitive cause for autism has been established. It's possible that they communicate with each other telepathically. Good luck getting any mainstream doctors to believe that. Has their hearing been checked? I wish I had more to offer. I'm not well versed in autism. Their speech and language will likely improve over time. There are just a lot of variables at play.

Thank you, Foxspirit for your reply. I have to say that despite how things might appear at the moment, there are still a lot of good going on for you! For one, you are able to articulate and verbalise your inner state and what has been causing you duress, that is a major positive - never discount the power of inner clarity, it is like a light or compass that once properly nurtured and aligned becomes pathways into a higher consciousness. It is key for spiritual evolution / ascension.

I can understand if the missed diagnosis has caused a distance between you and your wife, and I think as men, we tend to feel that we have to remedy the situation with the right action so we can fix the situation. In this regard, we often take it on as a solo task to get it done. However this might indirectly create more distance instead as our loved ones might feel pushed away, isolated or even punished.

If I may be so bold to suggest, I believe what your wife will appreciate now at this moment more than anything is Security and Togetherness. If you have not had an opportunity to properly address how her intuition was correct, please do so. Women and girls go through Life being ignored or told that they are wrong, so it is important for her to know that you, her sacred partner in Life, is acknowledging her intrinsic contributions to the family unit. It will strengthen the relationship, and it might also earn you some respect. She might see you now in a different light, as it takes a real man to apologise, admit his mistakes, and ask for help so he can be better and stronger - that shows dependability and adaptability, two values which are important to bring to any relationship.

Let her know that whatever happens now and in the future, you will be with her to take it on together as a team. That she is never alone through periods of hardships. Now, that might be a huge promise to make given the conditioning we have received in this society as men/boys, so this promise is not only to her, but to yourself as well. Try to uphold this, we might falter from time to time, but as long as we don't forget to re-align ourselves, it will be better than not to try at all.

Your wife is a valuable part of your success as spouse/life partner, father and human being - Mothers are, in their own way, very sacred in themselves. Honour that, as well as the masculine energy that you bring. The union of both, along with a well-nurtured Love will create a stable, fertile and enlightened environment for your home and children.

Mentally and psionically, be mindful every day as you re-enter your home, remember and solidify your intention that it is a safe and sacred space for you and your family. Try as much as possible to leave the stresses or repressive energy out, try to diffuse this either in the drive or commute home, slowly shedding/dropping it off and neutralising your own spiritual core. If news, politics or certain programmes tend to ignite you emotionally, consider removing the TV from your home or switching it off. Essentially, be very mindful about what you invite into the home, in some ways, both you and your wife are protectors and guardians of Peace and Love within your home.

Your girls will be ultra sensitive to this, so whatever is invited or brought into the home will be amplified to and by them. In some ways, this is their gift - so if you bring Light and Love, they will sense, project and amplify this, bouncing and multiplying this energy between the both of them. In your quiet moments with them, project the Love you have for them with your mind and soul. Feel the love you have for them, channel it to your solar plexus, and let it glow out from there, until you create a bubble and forcefield of Love that covers you and them. While in that bubble, continue to channel the flow of Love from your chest to theirs, it will radiate from you through to them.

I believe that this is the best gift you can ever present to your loved ones - together, you can create a bond that is special and unique to you and your girls. You have a whole exciting life to pursue with your wife and girls. Despite how things are at the moment, I am actually very happy and excited for you.

Hello Birublackzoey,

I have read and re-read your (and Snowcat's) prior post and tried to think of the best way I could express my thanks and gratitude for your taking the time to respond to my original posting. It was a most heartfelt and generous post and I thank you very much for it.

I also watched the video from your most recent post. Thank you. I do understand the genetics of this and while I do not share the full view in its entirety, mainly because it is so hard to connect at times with my girls and mitigate and assist with the pain and negative emotions that come with the frustration of not being able to communicate with them. I'll persevere and endure as best as I can. What else can I do except continue to support my twins and my wife as best as I can.

But in closing, ill still hope and pray for my girls to be as close to a 3 year old as possible. I would so very much like to take part in their childhood experiences and share joy with them as other parents can do with their children. I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.

Thanks again.
