I dont know what to make of this dream. It felt so real!

A couple of days ago I stayed at my boyfriends house, since ive met him, alot of strange goings on have been happening. Im not afraid of these happenings, but they do catch us off guard. But for no ill tell you about my dream, as its been playing on my mind and it is still so vivid.

The way the dream started was odd, I can remember knowing that i didnt have long left, in fact we all didnt have long, there was a catastrophic event happening all around us, but i couldnt tell you what it was. In my dream, i was with my boyfriend, and i had these small objects i had to take with me, for some reason i can only remember 2 of them which was a small key and a clock or compass type thing, again it was really small. I put them in my pocket and embraced my fella, we both said to each other that everythings going to be okay and we were going to a better place. There was no fear in me, even though i was just about to die in my dream, and i completely embraced it. I had this feeling of being lifted as we left our bodies, and we ended up in a place that all i can describe it as limbo.

There was lots of people there, and buildings (strange looking ones but there was definitely buildings) Everyone looked completely lost in this place and there were guards there, all dressed in black, almost stopping everyone from leaving. I still had these objects with me and i knew i had to keep them safe from these guards, otherwise id be stuck there.

This is the point at which things got confusing, I ended up back on this earth plane, but still in my dream, and i could get back to the other world i was in by leaving my body, and i did this a few times while i was in this "limbo" place, but the strangest thing was, the place where i left my body each time, was next to a wall which had a painting of me sleeping. I would sit there with the objects in my pocket, and feel uplifted once again, see my body behind me and end up in limbo again. This happened a couple of times, because i was looking for something or trying to find out how to leave this limbo place.

I went back there for the last time, and it was almost a point of realisation, where i knew that this place wasnt a good place, it was almost a prison for lost souls and i knew i didnt belong there, at this point, i watched the building in front of me, crack and crumble in slow motion and with no noise it fell to the ground. I knew i had to get back to my body (still dreaming body that was left by the painting on the wall) And once id got back there i knew i had to wake myself up for real. It took me so long to maintain conciousness again, without feeling as if i was going to pass out, but when i did my boyfriend was stiring in his sleep, i asked him if he was okay and he said that he felt really overwhelmed for some reason. I then told him about the dream i had.

Ive never had a dream like it, it felt so real, espcially the feeling of leaving my body. I have never died in a dream before and had the dream carry on going aswell. I have always woken up at the point of impact, just before you die.

I honestly dont know what to make of this, but it wont leave my head and im constantly trying to remember things about it.

Well, I read it, I thought about it, and the first thing I'm going to say is that some dreams are just that a dream. There's nothing more or nothing less.

Now, after having said that, I feel that it's always fun (and sometimes challenging) to interpret dreams! So I think I'll try and help you. I would have to say that the leaving your body part might have to do with you possibly feeling disconnected to the physical plane of existence. The other people are just all the other people that feel this way (like me, sadly). Then the guards could be whatever is making disconnected. Then the objects would be the things you need to reconnect yourself, they could be literal or figurative, that's something only you can really know since I don't know significant things in your life. Uh, that's all I got for you. I hope this helps!

I will definitely agree with you there, some dreams are just dreams. And what ive said about the place i went too, its not what i know its what i felt that made me come to the conclusion that it wasnt a good place to be in. But that was a really cool way to interpret the dream, thanks you! :)
I think im more interested to know if people have died in their dreams, but had the dream carry on too? I always thought that once you died in a dream you woke up?

I've died in dreams before, and the dream carried on. Especially in my childhood nightmares, I always "hit the bottom" and then stood up and my body was below me.
