Attempt to use water colors

Postby Eliphas Blackthorn » Sun Oct 19, 2014 10:43 am

This was my first attempt at water colors. I am self taught and not very skilled but I like to draw and paint anyway.

I think that you did a good job considering that you are using water colour. I have used the medium and i have come to like water pencils due to the fact that they allow for more detail over our drawing, more refined lines and detail. But i still love using acrylics the best, there after each panting you gain more control over your brushes and use of colour.

Good drawing!!

Dude! That is totally beautiful !! If you did this with no instruction, think of what you could do with a few classes!
Life Auras, I agree with you on the water color pencils, and I have recently found water color crayons too....
Eliphas, have you tried these? They are really fun.

Thank you for the kind words. No I haven't tried the water color pencils yet. An online friend of mine also mentioned that she used them as well. I thought about getting some for my daughter who is a pretty good artist for being 8 years old. I may have to try them out myself. I wish I could take some classes but I have bad luck with stuff like that. Whenever I try to formally take a class on something my life gets hectic and any free time I had gets stolen away.
