But, does anyone out there play the guitar? If so, how about sharing some tips with us! I play some, but I've been neglecting it lately. I'm starting pick it up more often again now, and slowly learning more things.

Also, anyone got some songs I could learn, for a beginner? Preferably fairly popular songs, for a chance I will actually know the song .

Anyways, just curious to people's talents out there, I personally love the guitar. And it's true, practice does make perfect!

That site is the best for finding tabs. I self-taught myself just about everything I know.
Youtube is really good for help with difficult solos.

I've been playing for about a year and a half.

I also use ultimate guitar tabs

They're the f*cking bomb.

I would reccommend learning chords first.

They're easy to remeber and once you learn the basics you can play aloooooot of different songs.

I have played for years both acoustics and electrics.
The idea of learning chords is a good ones, as once you know 3 or 4 you can play a hell of a lot of songs.
Some basic theory really opens up your playing prospects as well. A few scales and chord progressions are great to know when making up your own stuff.

My uncle who's a guitar buff and Pontiac collector taught me long ago. SLowly, I forgot the chords.

I'm trying to reteach myself. So far, it's so-so, but I know how to play "Barbarian Horde" from the movie "Gladiator".
